It actually works. Every dog I've had in my life were strays that I took in off the streets. All of them learned to trust me by first trusting the dog or dogs I already had. Then as time went by, they eventually trusted me, and thru me, the rest of my family.

Anyone that brings a stray dog into their home is a special person. The woman melts my heart more than that beautiful dog.

Thats how ive gotten most of my cats! A few years back I saved a kitten that was outside walmart. We guessed it was abandoned there. Only a year and a half at most, pregnant, and had glass in their paw. We got them treated, they safely had their kittens, and eventually we were able to foster them all out 💕

I get my dog like this she was 7 months old and we (me and my family) got her off the street, and adopted her she was very nice, and I got her to the vet and now she is a very good dog named Pipoca (popcorn in portuguese (Brazil) ), when I got her she was scared but now she away's want to play whit everyone.

Whilst I don't think they actually have a conversation, you're not far wrong! I have brought many untouchable street dogs into my home. When the new dog sees me interact and cuddle and tummy rub with my other dogs you can see the light bulb moment in them. They realise that there is something good here. Dogs help other dogs heal more quickly than a lone human ever could. Street dogs don't understand what humans want from them. But they can read the body language of other dogs. Rehabilitating dogs is a hundred times easier with other, happy, confident dogs around them.

I like to think that somehow, deep down Luna always knew you would be her forever guardian. She stayed in your driveway over anyone else’s for months. That speaks volumes 🥰💙

I love when the universe brings souls together that were meant to be.

She looks just like my 10 year old puppy who showed up at my door when she was 2 months old.

I want something like this :) One day, if I can take care of myself and have a good home, I'll adopt a pup from the streets or a shelter.

I’m sure nobody abandon her. She got lost, and could’ve been out there for quite a while. They should’ve advertised that they found her. So that her and owners could’ve came forward. They could’ve suffered a big loss not being able to find her.

@@holleebecerra601 _That still means that anyone who saw her still left her on the streets._ My comment doesn't say that she had an owner before, it says "How could anyone leave her." Being left doesn't mean you ever had a place to go on the first place. I was born on the streets and left alone for hours at at time as a 3 year old in public, no one ever tried to rescue me.

Poor thing was covered in ticks. She looks great now!
