rip. her dog stayed w her til her death and died too. what loyalty and sadness. she lost her home and her truck and had no help. why didnt she go to her dad?

Even family won’t help you until you almost die

Having to live in your car in an Arizona summer...so sad. A miracle the sweet boy survived...knew he needed to get help. My condolences. RIP, Mama.

Homelessness is now becoming a death sentence for many people. Even with families....they receive no shelter or help finding housing 😢

A very sad story.....why don't we have help centers for people who lose their homes?

R.I.P. Condolences to her family and friends. So sad, she was evicted and couldn't find a place to stay. So weird, she has a disabled child. Where are the services in AZ to help disabled people, adults with their disabled children? AZ-FAILED her!

This story does not sound right. If they were on I10 why not wait until a car passed to ask for help. The car is shade as opposed to walking to find shade. Doesn't make sense. How did the son know which direction to walk to reach a store. How did her survive and the mother and dog didn't? You leave the safety of your car to walk in a blistering desert to find a shade tree? The Buckeye Police found the car on the same day, but neglected to find out who the owner was and contact them? How did the Buckeye Police miss seeing her if she was found only a mile from the vehicle? A month in the hospital before anyone knew anything? The hospital didn't ask the son his name or any questions. Was he listed under John Doe? The hospital didn't seek out family members. Way too many unanswered questions.

I totally agree with your comments. A month went by and no action was taken. Even if the son was non verbal, they could have used various methods to communicate with him. The system failed her and I'm sorry for that.
