I for one can definitely sympathise with Liam Neeson. When Steve Irwin was killed by that stingray I was distraught, in a dark place, I wanted revenge... I would swim for hours with a cosh in my trunks, just hoping one of those stingray bastards would have a go at me as I deep dived. So that I could... kill it. I never thought I’d admit this on a KZread comment but here we are.

It’s good Liam said what he did. It’s so dumb for people to be angry with the fact he spoke about it. You have to allow people to be stupid (aka have an unjust prejudice) for them to improve as a person. Otherwise you put them in a box in which you never allow them to leave. If every person with a prejudice opened up and spoke about it with people, there would be a lot less people out there with prejudices.

Taylor nlw He probably would have. He grew up in Ireland like 50, 60 years ago, in a time where racism was much worse than it is now. His friend told him they had been raped by a black guy and because he knew that and this was a time where racism wasn't treated anywhere near as badly, he thought all black men were rapists. So for his friend he wanted revenge and he thought the best way to do that, was to kill any black guy he could get to have a go at him. Yes it is racist, but he admits he is ashamed that he felt that way for even a week. Also context is means absolutely everything. This isn't him just wanting to kill a black guy because he was black, this is him wanting to kill a black guy because his friend was raped by one and at that time he thought all black men were rapists.

John Barnes has spoke about this and said Liam Neeson should get a medal, because he came out and spoke about it, told the story and admitted he is totally ashamed that he thought that way. But Barnes understands the context of the situation and why he thought that way, but again is pleased Liam was ashamed and appealed he felt that way.

I think the problem is he said "black bastard" even tho it was what he was thinking 40 years ago! If it was a greek it would have been "greek bastard" if it was a protestant it would have been a "protestant bastard". People got carried away with words not his message!

As part of our computer programing course work in school we we're all given the task to recreate the school building and its ground brick by brick in Minecraft (when it was at its peck popularity)... Then when it was finished every student (by requesting one form our teacher) was given a code to log into the actual server we built for it, so during break and lunch we would have like 60 people at the one time playing hunger games set in the school! It was epic and really fun... Pain in the backside to build though.
