Woman Carries Adorable 52-Pound Dog in Backpack
An adorable dog named Lumi rides around New York City on the back of his owner Jackie Hornung. On the New York City subway, all dogs have to be in a carrier or backpack. The official MTA rules state: “No person may bring any animal on or into any conveyance or facility unless enclosed in a container.” Due to the rules, pet owners are finding creative ways to bring their dogs on the subway. Hornung showed Inside Edition how she fits Lumi into the backpack.

We're social animals, and seek contact with other humans. So stop acting as if looking for more contact or attention makes someone bad.
I love that she was gonna give him a treat in the last shot, but Lumi was just too distracted by whatever was in the man's hand😅

Also I am from Texas....if I ever come to NYC...(I weigh at least 160 and not cute but still fluffy)...can you backpack me around and show me the city? Check if it's ok with Lumi first. If that's cool....lmk Love and Hugs From a fellow backpack pimper too

@@bonnobomonkey omg, dogs can’t just roam free everywhere, sometimes they have to be restrained for various reasons. Feeling sorry for this spoiled dog that gets carried around is absurd.
Great idea & only option to travel with her dog. But, I hope the dog's hind legs aren't in pain or being damaged in the long run. Beautiful dog!

Absolutely agree. The dog actually looks uncomfortable. His head is tilted too far back and being all crunched up like that can't feel good.

Definitely not great for the dog's legs and back but it's likely only for a short while as they ride the subway. Once they're off the train she can let him out.

She literally said on the subway a dog has to be in a bag or a carrier. personally it'd be alot easier if you uses your back and your arms to carry a 52 pound dog than a carrier which is probably gonna be harder because of the carrier weight and the dog weight combines. I thought this would be common sense.

That’s determination as well as a great weight loss program. He is very cute though but 52 pounds is a lot of weight to carry around plus up and down the stairs.

It's a Samoyed pupper doggy? What a beautiful pupper. Growing up, we had a Spitz which is the smallest of the American Eskimo breed. He looked just like the Samoyed but was a white miniature fur ball. ❤🐾❤🐾❤
