Woman Accuses Married Pastor of Having Sex With Her as a Teen

Bobi Gephart stood before her entire church in Warsaw, Indiana, and accused the pastor of having sex with her when she was a teenager. Now 43, she says the secret has haunted her for nearly three decades. Pastor John Lowe made a "confession" during Sunday service, but Bobi says it was not the entire truth. She and her husband stormed the stage to reveal everything. As they left the stage, members of the congregation embraced her and demanded answers.

I understand you can't tell someone right away. But at 16 unfortunately at least in Canada that's not rape. She called it a relationship in which I am assuming she consented. So why wait Thirty Years. Also, was it so terrible that she felt it was necessary to have him officiate her wedding? I have sympathy that she feels she was victimized. The story brought me to tears. The pastor tried to palm off an illicit affair of adultery when it truly was rape of a minor. He misrepresented what he had done to such a degree that it was unbearable for the couple. I’m so glad that God gave her the strength to come forward and tell her story so that the pastor would fully take responsibility for what he had done. Grooming and rape of a minor is not adultery. Asking for forgiveness is not all that he can do. I hope this woman collects handsomely from him personally and the church.

I can't even imagine how much harder it would be with the religious influence and the man being commonly known as a "good" and "righteous" one. Sin is transgression of God's law and it is wicked to do what this Pastor has done, but although the pastor claims to be a Christian. God doesn't not condone this type of behavior. When men or women sin it is on them not God, for God is not responsible for the sin of people. People make there own choice to sin and disobey God

It's less complicated than that. The 🐊🐊 gather hidden below at the water's edge because they know the prey will eventually show up in droves to be fed individually. If the 🐊 waits in the forest, the prey is always on the alert & attentive with eyes & ears in the peripheral. Get the prey all in one place, let them get comfortable enough to let down their guard, isolate one, strike. It takes patience but ultimately, they find a victim among the herd & typically it's the young & inexperienced.

The bravery this woman has to stand up in front of the entire congregation to share this, and the support system she has behind her weeping and fighting at her side is truly unreal. This is an incredible story, heartbreaking as it is. Her husband is an example of what others should be, as is her brother. I wish I had half the nerve of this woman. Abusers wouldn't dare if this was the example we all saw.

@ 3:32 it got me a lil emotional to see the way the person grabbed her and embraced her, the only reason why is because I know some people will be so set in their religion that they won’t even try to believe that what she went through is true…the amount of love she received from others after exposing him of his awful ways is just amazing. She deserves love and I hope she is thriving!

She continued a sexual relationship with the married pastor for 9 years after she was deflowered at 16 and still attend the pastor's church until 40s. She had been over 20 for 5 long years in that 9 years and didn't stop the illicit encounter until she married at 25 which you would think make her a complicit mistress. I can understand if it was just that one time at 16 but she voluntarily return for more until adulthood. 🤔

He never had any intention of coming forward. Had he not have been confronted by the brother, he would never have "confessed". The only reason he told the church is because he knew the truth was gonna come out. So he decided to tell some extremely vague version of the truth hoping the church would have his back. God will punish him.

It's heart breaking to see that this woman had to go through that, as well as the congregation having to hear that their own pastor, someone they looked up to, committed a grave sin. I am praying for the woman affected by this, as well as the church and even the pastor himself. I pray that they all heal from this, and I pray this pastor repents before our holy God and restore his relationship with Him. Prayers for everyone involved. 🙏🙏
