Both of the half brothers both possesses mutant powers, including superhuman strength, strength speed, durability, stamina and reflexes. But their well known mutant power are their healing abilities, in which they are also known to stay in their 30's for a very long time and can heal themselves from any damage during the fight or accident.

First Sabertooth got the look perfectly This Sabertooth got the character and story ark perfectly (P.S. I still liked Liev’s look for the character)

0:10 to 0:51 These two actors were perfect for their roles. It’s too bad we don’t see this version of Sabertooth again. He can run on all fours and is super strong and quick.

This Sabertooth does not look like any version of the character. But got DAMN!!! His performance is spotless

“I’m nothing like you.” True archenemies right there, especially when it’s quoted by Wolverine himself

Tyler Mane had the imposing physique for Sabretooth, but Liev really captured Sabretooth's personality. Sabretooth always did piss off Wolverine.

Victor is so evil in this. He’s cool, conceiving, has a serial killer for his human side, a savage animal for mutants. He honestly kinda scared me in this movie.

I love how they made him run on all fours like a big cat.

Kinda strange that Logan didn't became the same person as Victor. They were living the same place, had the same past, the only difference was with their parents, but Victor was spending most of his time with Logan. It's strange how Logan didn't became the same psycho as Victor

TL;DR Logan didn't want to become feral and the adamantium wouldn't let his body do so. Sabretooth actively allowed himself to become feral. Even in the intro, Logan tries to be more humane and feel bad for his fathers death, where as Victor just played it off as a little temper tantrum. Then the adamantium put his body into overdrive and wouldn't let him evolve into a feral animal. This has happened in the past where magneto removed his adamantium, with Logan's healing factor and animal instincts finally being let loose rather than focusing on making sure his adamantium doesn't poison him sooner than later.

Honestly, if the film was about their childhood and growing up, without all that weapon-x story, it would be such a good movie. Just 2+ hours about two feral brothers, their hardships and mutual support growing into rivalry and oppostion.

Sabretooth wins this fight because he's not rusty from lack of fighting, more feral, is more skilled and seems to actually just be bigger and stronger than his brother. Later on Logan wins because the adamantium skeloton counters his biggest advanatage, he can't overpower Jimmy because Jimmy is much heavier and hits much harder, and barely flinches at the blunt impacts that send him flying here. Sabretooth could definitely stand a better chance against Adamantium Wolverine if he adjusted his fighting style to take advantage of Logan's slowed healing factor, with more swipes and blows to vulnerable areas like joints, stomach and eyes. In films where Logan has the metal, you can see him actively bracing through the process of healing, while before, he doesn't even acknowledge the pain, unless of course, its Sabretooth knocking the wind out of him.

Victor's biggest advantage is he can grab whilst his claws are out. Logan can't do that because the claws on his knuckles hinders his finger's mobility. Later adamantium gives Logan the edge of being as sharp as a knife on a butter. This puts Victor at a huge risk if he stays near Logan's slashing range. That's how I interpreted their fight.

Its one of the things that drove me insane about this movie. Sabretooth owns him the first fight and somehow Wolverine is faster and stronger in the second fight because..... he got adamantium claws all of sudden.

Him getting "stronger" makes sense because his bones became exponentially heavier power is speed + weight and the adamantium added a LOT of weight. Once he adjusted to his new weight he'd probably be much stronger as a result of just... being heavier

Truck driver hit him like "ah, it's all good, it's just Logan fighting his invincible brother, he'll be fine"..!!!....

I love this scene. It is quintessential Sabretooth. Imagine an R-rated Sabretooth movie where he narrates the film. A film about what motivates a serial killer the likes of Liev Schreiber's Sabretooth. Think Sabretooth's version of the book of Ecclesiastes where instead of King David looking for the meaning of life by meditating on all his handwork, you find an immortal serial killer that is looking for the meaning in life in some of his best kills. I would pay good money to watch that film. Especially if they give him a Black Bomber Jacket style coat that has a fox fur lined hood and collar. Put him into a pair of Steel Toed Combat Boots, Cargo Pants with the 3 stripe pockets and a sleeveless tactical shirt with a dog tag neckless and you'd have the most comic accurate look of the character portrayed by the guy who actually made him a character worth watching in live action.

This has got to be the biggest bar in the world. From the door to the actual bar is like 300 ft haha

I was terrified of sabertooth in this movie as a kid. Gave me nightmares.

I really think this movie is underrated. Many ppl don't like it, or hate it, but i really like it. Imo it has a lot of good scenes and the narration is pretty fine

I never will understand why they made Logan’s fighting style so bad. In the comics, he’s a master of unarmed combat without the claws. His fight scenes should be like a jet li movie, not this wide swinging, clumsy stuff they have him do. In the films, if he didn’t have his claws and healing ability, he would have made it past the first scene when Sabre tooth ambushes him in the first film.

And, in one verse, sabertooth even got ada bones after wolverine, and proceeded to beat him again. In almost all saber vs wolverine fights the formula has been the same. Sorry to tell ya.

I think Sabretooth will win, but it wouldn't be easy at all. Sabretooth is faster and much more stronger than SE, but Snake Eyes is arguably more agile and he's got many gadgets and tricks he could use to counter Victor or restraint him, though he wouldn't be able to kill him permanently. So Snake Eyes have a pretty good chance to stop Victor in his tracks or even captures him IF he played his cards carefully, but in a fight to death, Sabretooth would crush him.

Does sabretooth have the regen too?
