Wolfheart enchaîne les pépites aussi mélodiques qu’accrocheuses. À croire que le groupe n’a jamais rien su faire d’autre ! Cette nouvelle étoile brille au firmament du death metal mélodique finlandais depuis 2012. Plébiscitée pour son sound hivernal et glacial, la formation a également le vent en poupe au niveau internationale.
En 2012, Tuomas Saukkonen abandonne les groupes Before the Dawn, Black Sun Aeon, Dawn of Solace et RoutaSielu. C’est décidé, le Finlandais prendra son envol avec Wolfheart. Un premier album intitulé Winterborn sort en 2013. Sonorités atmosphériques, arrangements complexes et textes empreints de nostalgie : c’est la recette du winter metal by Wolfheart. Cultivant fidèlement cette veine, le groupe sort en 2022 son sixième album studio, King Of The North. Le résultat est toujours aussi glacial, ce qui n’empêche pas les fans et la critique de fondre, bien au contraire.
Avec Wolfheart, le SUMMER BREEZE Open Air 2023 fait battre le cœur de dizaines de milliers de métalleux. Quatre jours durant, c’est toute la richesse et la diversité du metal qui s’offrent aux festivaliers. Le tout dans l’atmosphère unique et détendue de Dinkelsbühl, petite ville du nord-ouest de la Bavière qui accueille la manifestation depuis 2006.
À la création du SUMMER BREEZE Open Air, en 1997, 400 passionnés étaient venus écouter dix groupes à Abtsgmünd, dans le Bade-Wurtemberg. Aujourd’hui, plus de 45 000 fans se rendent chaque année au plus grand festival de metal du sud de l’Allemagne, dont la renommée dépasse les frontières européennes. Après avoir fêté ses 25 ans en 2022, le SUMMER BREEZE poursuit en 2023 sa success story. Pendant quatre jours, des pointures nationales et internationales feront s’abattre une déferlante de metal sur le public massé devant les quatre scènes du festival.

2023 year and ARTE keeps uploading VODs with 2-3mb/s bitrate. I mean guys, we have good internet in the world these days, you can upload with much higher bitrate! We live in 4K era already.

Vagelis was the bassist of Rotting Christ until 2018 and then joined Wolfheart as their lead guitarist in 2020.
