To me, it makes sense that Wyatt was the one to be saved. Listening to Fergus' frustration, he wouldn't have minded if you sacrificed him. He even spits at you for pissing on the future Wyatt could've brought with him. Seeing Wyatt struggle was, to me, the first stepping stones to becoming a leader- something he mentioned as not being cut out for. To Wyatt, I say this: Leaders aren't born...they are created.

I chose wyatt and I regretted it, and it was made worse when deaths head put him in that robot and Wyatt asked for blaskowickz to kill him knowing that I was the one that put him there.

When I played this game, I first saved Fergus in hopes that Wyatt being so young, doesn't have to endure the loss of the war and such. Though I also understood his dislike for being saved, as he was old and he was at that point to be ready to die. I loved his lines each of the way though. Wyatt's timeline, well, I loved the young dude's energy, he seemed so willing to get through it all. However I disliked how he hated BJ for saving him (When earlier he did ask if he'll save him) and consider him a bit reckless but still enthusiastic.

Choosing Fergus is basically saying I played the game once already, because in B.J.'s point of view, in canon, he has no idea theyre gonna lose the war, it makes sense to give the young the future. Thats what I think personally.

The Ferguson timeline makes more sense when you watch the scenes side by side. Plus the health upgrade is more valuable.

@Roniixx Well I mean he was forced to grow up. I understand the giving BJ orders to be weird but him being not insecure anymore makes sense.

For my reason to choose Wyatt, I know the lock-picking sucks, but he seemed to be scared and frightened so I saved him (Fergus for comparison accepts his fate when he is chosen to be sacrificed while Wyatt freaks out if he is sacrificed). It is also because Wyatt saved BJ from the panzerhund in the beginning so I guess you could say BJ returned the favor to Wyatt by saving him from deathshead. And I do feel like more people in general who played the game chose to save fergus instead of Wyatt. 2023 Edit: yep, since it says 51% of players got the save fergus trophy while 39% of players got the save Wyatt trophy, and I finally decided to unlock the fergus timeline as well.

It’s because in the second game, you got the Laser gun if you saved Fergus whereas with Wyatt, you got the Diesel grenade launcher. I rather the laser instead.

Jimi Hendrix actually played the National Anthem live at Woodstock back in 1969, it was one of his most famous before his death not long after.

Even though Wyatt may be a bit pissed at you, here's the thing. He's a kid, but if you train him right, he could become the leader Fergus wanted him to be. Fergus wanted him to live because he saw a future in him. A future he couldn't give due to his age.

@jash2o2 It's even more compelling that wyatt still refers to BJ as 'captain'. Even though the war is over and u.s. High command is long gone. Now that is what you call true loyalty. Despite the world ruled by nazis, he still sees you as his superior. It gives you that sudden feeling that wyatt is like your final soldier, ready for service once more. While the entirety of the u.s. Military was wiped off the face of the earth.

Oh Wyatt. You shouldn't count the deaths you saw, count the lives you save. Good luck soldier

When I chose Wyatt on my third playthrough, I was very disappointed in his character and how he still had that heart in him, I hated the lockpicking minigame, and even J being there doesn't make too much sense, even though I liked him. Let me explain. Wyatt was soft in the first mission, but it made sense because he was a private and a young one at that. Then when we find him he hasn't changed like at all? He barely showed any ounce of being on his own and still had the mindset he was just a rookie compared to everyone else. And Wyatt was, sadly, right in his opinion that he wasn't QUALIFIED to be saved, because he just didn't feel like he had the guts for it compared to Fergus who could. Wyatt, even after 14 years of being on his own, conducting small skirmishes with the Nazis and fighting literally the worst human beings on the face of the earth, is still not phased by it and STILL calls BJ 'Captain', like he is still the private rather than just a comrade standing side-by-side? I appreciated his positive outlook on everything, but he didn't give much to his development other than that one outburst like we saw with Fergus in his timeline. J, I did like, but his story is entirely inconsistent with what we see in game. Like why would an American like J even be in Berlin? How did he get past the Nazis, let alone find the Kraisau resistance given his African-American decent? Why would of all things he would be the ONLY pacifist in the group prior to freeing the labor camp? Why didn't he find one of the American resistances, like in New York or New Orleans? He felt to me (As I'm sure he did to you too) like more of an activist rather than a soldier who had a gripe with government at the time, rather than having hate specifically towards the Nazis. And I believe that this makes more sense when we see him compared to Tekla, asking this question; Who would you rather have in your resistance, a hyper-intelligent (albeit probably insane) genius who can calculate any and all of the Nazis movements like some crazed super computer, or would you rather have a laid-back pacifist who would rather sit and do nothing but play his guitar even as the world as knows gets worse and worse each day? It just didn't make any sense in my head, but there's my opinion on this timeline.

On Fergus's timeline you wire doors instead of lock picking them, and you got health upgrades instead of armour upgrades along with guitar and shit... oO.... these are weird differences lols. I guess they couldn't decide on which system to use.

@@cezary9699 I think it bugged. I was doing Uber difficulty with Wyatt so I had armor upgrades... And even though I collected all of them I still finished the game at 100hp and 100ap. The last battle was really hard because of that bug.

So here's my two cents, everyone says it would have made sense for you to save Wyatt over Fergus because Wyatt saved you, but Fergus rescued you at the end of Old Blood, and he gave you CPR on the plane at the start of the game, so saving Fergus made that much more sense than Wyatt.

I chose Fergus and wanted to see what Wyatt's timeline was like, boy am I glad I chose Fergus. None of the character development for Wyatt makes sense really but makes complete sense for Fergus.

Thanks for this, I needed to see the cut-scenes with sound after experiencing numerous bugs on my PC playthrough(s).

Fergus = Skill with age Wyatt = Ignorance of youth

Jimi death was sad but he went out like a true legend

Wyatt has a great character development from before he was so scared and like doesn't know what to do to become a good leader after saw his friend died

I sacrificed Fergus on my play-through mainly to spite Deathshead’s victory and his interest in Wyatt, whom I felt needed more character development.✊️ Not sure if it would be historically accurate, but I also have this head-canon where the black soldier that died in the 1946 mission was actually J’s dad.😿

I played the Wyatt timeline 3 years ago, and now in doing the fergus timeline, it sucks not having the Jimi Hendrix guy

I chose to save Ferguson, because it was my first playthrough and I didn't know what I should do next. Ferguson was more like a commander to me and soldiers are expendable, but Wyatt seemed really frightened of the war and indecisive I couldn't rely on someone who is indecisive, especially in a WAR... But even if Ferguson hated me for this I would still choose him ( Even though it is correct to choose to save the younger ones).

Fergus is better gameplay wise since he gives you health upgrades which is more useful than armor upgrades but Wyatt is just a better choice morale wise. Fergus was prepared to die, Wyatt is just a kid

Looking back at this now… I’m glad I chose Fergus.

Honestly, I liked Fergus for his banter with BJ. But Wyatt ended up being my favorite in The New Colossus, especially his epic speech at the ending.

For me, Fergus has better timeline in New Order because of how frustrated he was, and also how he said Blazkowicz as magnificient c*nt was a gold line. While I prefer Wyatt in second game because his speech in the end of the game.

I couldn't sacrifice Wyatt, he literally begs not to be killed in Death's head compound, while Fergus was totally ready to die. Hell, Fergus spat at you when you choose to save him.

They should make a multiplayer wolfenstein and the announcers are fergus, wyatt and blazkowicz for the resistance and Irene and Deathshead for the Nazis

I didn’t want Wyatt or Fergus to die, Deathshead is truly sick.

Man if they just added a better soundtrack to the whole game, more songs that weren’t written just for the game, like call of duty does occasionally, or far cry, it would’ve been the icing on the cake. Just imagine some badass Vietnam era rock songs and shit like that over the insane cutscenes and battles in this game. It was already ahead of its time though. One of the best games ever imo

Survivor's Guilt. It's understandable on both ends to me. Fergus sees the new generation in Wyatt, a new crop of soldiers and leaders to pass the torch to, whereas Wyatt is overwhelmed at being asked at 18 years old to fight an enemy on the brink of conquering the whole planet.
