This is the first review Ive seen that references that both are made in the same factory, good to know. Too bad IYV only comes in green. The fancier Wolf is worth the extra $200 but thats more than double the IYV price. Thanks for comparing these Joe!

I don't think you can get such bling on a Les Paul like the AIO unless you pay $5500 in the Gibson Custom shop. I put in Jimmy Page wiring and new electronics, Seymour Duncan Whole Lotta Humbuckers and put on gold plated Optima strings. Now it is totally cool. It is really close to my Gibson Les Paul Classic. It just sounds different (pickups are voiced a little different than Burstbuckers) but it has tons more versatility with out of phase and series/parallel switching on top of the coil taps. And it is purple burst. 💜

You’re cracking my ass up Joe! Good review. Seems like an extra ~$225 isn’t worth it for the Wolf to me. The setup wasn’t much better. Fret ends are an easy fix. I agree that the IYV tuners are pretty good, but if one desires, purge them for $10-$15 and get some Korean JinHo locking 18:1 tuners for $30ish online. At that point the guitars are equal sans the abalone inlays. But as far as performance they would be equal. Of course if ya don’t like green, then ya don’t like green. Personally I thought it looked better in person than online pics. Rock on dude. I’m gonna have to try a Smirnoff Smash in your honor!

I would agree, but I really dig the Wolf. Sometimes ya just want some bling.

The IYV has what they call a florentine cut away, I'm glad I got the green IYV LP,I went with a firefly lizard burst LP, which has a fatter neck and with it's one piece back is more reminiscent of a 59 LP, the IYV has a slim tapered neck and is more like a 60s LP, the IYV wins the favorite spot simply because of the weight,the Firefly LP is way too heavy to gig with,but it has a nice finish and the fretboard is better looking,I believe they use macacuba wood as rosewood they advertise it with,has nice strips going thru it,but the pickups suck on all fireflys,I recently got one of their SG models and the pickups sound the best out of 4 I own,two 338 and a Tele,the destiny pickups sound great to me.

The firefly is kinda heavy but I like that sometimes. I LOVE the destiny pickups too, but the firefly pickups are good for some sounds. I say get what works for you dude. Rock on!

I like the pointier horn on the IYV. That's the one thing I dislike about my Dillion LPs. That small rounded horn.

"Smash and Roll!" I mean what a smashing review Joe! I found to my ancient ears both sounded good but the Ivy had slightly more high end, the Wolf slightly less But more midrange or honk!

I thought about getting a Wolf LP copy, but I'm not a big fan of the gold hardware. I ended up buying n IYV for $171. I changed the pickup rings and poker chip to black, and the pickguard to 3 ply off white pearloid. Now it looks great, plays great, and sounds great. Total cost still under $200. Maybe I'll change the tuners, but the stock ones are not too bad, so maybe not. Thanks for the reviews, and good luck with your youtube channel.

I basically did the same to mine, took the pick guard off as well completely, guitar looks great when the natural light hits the green, wish Amazon would purchase different colors as well from IYV
