What ever happened to the spider? If we let this guy talk on for another hour or two, his ADD would have directed the narrative in unknown directions. He was close to running out of insects and animals to notice, so it's anyone's guess what he would've temporarily focused on next. Maybe the chemical makeup of a nearby bubble gum wrapper, or the violence related to the mining of coltan, which is refined for its tantalum before being used to produce the device he was using to record the spider getting stuck.

@@2345allthebest While returning to it's burrow, a rock got it stuck, and it was half way inside and outside of the burrow. It flailed it's legs around for a bit and dislodged the rock.

the spider was most likely a female and might have been taking the termites to its hatchlings... personally i wouldn't have been able to resist helping the spider by removing the debris gently with a stick or piece of straw

I love how you can see embarrassment the spider feels as soon as that little debris piece lodges in beside it. The legs twitch a few times as if attempting to figure out what it could be before going lax with the sudden realization of what has occured. I'm sure that if could understand it, we would've heard a low muttered, "God damn it."

*she is pregnant. She's about to lay her eggs ( the white structure next to her burrow is the start of her egg case), and she's gathering food because once she lays the eggs, its an 8-16 hour non-stop process to get them covered and safe. She's gonna burn a lot of energy, use a lot of silk, and once her eggs are out, theres a big void for her stomach to fill. Seeing her get stuck made me get real nervous for her 😢

If you watched the video closely, you would see a small piece of debris/rock falls in between the spiders abdomen and the tunnel wall, thus lodging it between the two

Spider: "today can not get any worse than be in bloody stuck" Termite: "OH YOUR HAVING A BAD DAY!?"

That's very likely true. Some species of spider, including Australian trapdoor spiders, dig a hole, stock it with food, lay their eggs and the young eventually escape the nest by eating their way through the mother's body.

A rock got into the hole with spider. Then, the rock stopped its tail from getting in. Effectively, it's stuck.

Byron Mak Ants have more numbers then their larger cousins and it is basically a number game when you add those little fuckers into it.

The narrator makes you feel as though you were there, and very sleepy.

if you watch carefully it appears the termite is still grabbing as its dragged down the chute, it latches onto the debris which causes the wolf spider to become lodged.
