Wolf Separated From Pack & Forced To Fend For Itself | Megeti: Africa's Lost Wolf | Real Wild

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

This is the incredible story of Megeti, a lone Ethiopian wolf who loses her pack and is suddenly left to fend for herself. It is vital for the lost young wolf to find a new family and this quest pushes her into foreign territory, occupied by cattle breeders and other wolves. Her attempts to be accepted into a new pack are risky, but the hunting grounds and group protection are crucial to her survival.

Its sad that she had to succumb to distemper but I'm glad it was at least after she found the acceptance and kinship that she was seeking within her new pack !

Well I read some posts and am sad she died. I didn't watch her as she got sick and died. Their lives in the wild are so full of constant survival, stress and trying to find shelter. I'm glad the alpha male accepted her.

The ethiopian golden wolf (Flavocyon simensis) is a species of wolf native to Ethiopia, its closest living relative is the common golden wolf (Flavocyon lupaster), golden wolves (genus Flavocyon) are found only in Africa.

I am a zookeeper in chicago and I regularly feed the hippos day old sausages so they have a taste of their home. I put strings on the sausages and swing them around the hippos they get so mad at me and scream but it's an obsession sometimes the hippos try and break out of their cages but I keep swinging those hotdogs in wide circles over their heads. Luckily my bos doesn't know I do this or my coworke

Folks! The message is clear: We are killing these wonderful wolves with our companion animals. Please understand that and act accordingly. We are almost 8 billion human beings and more than 1 billion dogs on the planet. Only a handful of Ethiopian wolves remain. The same is happening with Siberian tigers, jaguars, other wolves with distemper, and countless species of wildlife. Think twice before you decide to have companion animals. I am a wildlife vet by the way.

This is a 2017 film. The Canine Distemper doesn't just affect canines, it can affect felines as well. Some of may be trying to vaccinate loose dogs of Africa, but whether the vaccine works or not on the wild canines - if they can be caught even, is probably questioned. Seems now we need a feline version for the canine disease.
