Their intros are always so god damn good! Really long, but gets you in the right mood for every song, always.

+PublicEnemy-1 Lucky you ! I saw Florence and the machine back on the NME tour in 2009 when they were bottom of the bill. Came on at 740 only around 50 people in at that stage (1000 venue) . Sensational and I knew they would be massive. headlined Glastonbury on the Friday this year after Foo Fighters pulled out. And Florence was easily the best of the 3 headliners. The Who were far too old to carry that off and Kanye West was awful.

+PublicEnemy-1 Re Flo's voice the debut album was called "Lungs" (lol) Just after the NME tour I saw them again a few months later in B'ham. Not sold out then (2009) . her friend or maybe sister was running the merchandise stall. I said to her Florence is going to have a massive career and is going to take off very quickly. She seemed surprised and said "really you think so" ? (lol) ps the Who should have listened to My generation" don't have to kill themselves but leave "rock and roll " to the under 30's. They do it best. I also agree with the Undertones " teenage kicks are the sweetest ones " "great music has lived lives and will live " (KWB) with thanks to Capablanca

"i don't tell lies no more, just don't tell the truth." it's when someone asks you something that you don't want to answer, so you say something relevant but abstract, and people begin to think you're weird but you'd rather they think that than know what you really feel, many times your answer is very critical and dark and sadistic... so you just opt to say something to throw them off to avoid alienating yet another person... after a while you just don't care, it isn't like they were going to be your friend anyway, so you just speak your mind and they hate you. oh well, sometimes playing the game is harder than the harsh reality of reality.

+Robbie Broome Even the Beatles ripped off USA Blues. Idon't think WA have ripped off directly anyone but I hear elements of new wave = penetration , Belly (dusted /super connected) and most of all The Duke Spirit's "red weather " - a fantastic /incendiary live track and Leila Moss is hot hot ! ps wonderful modern rock track fiery /energetic nuff said
