Can't remember the last time I took their scores seriously. They might have individual reviewers that are good - no clue - but they've proven so unreliable as an institution that I discount anything but an extreme score, and even then I just wonder why rather than give them any benefit of the doubt.

Im a minority and i completely understand your point. If they truly wanna be inclusive, they should make more original/authentic content involving black cultures, instead of forcing black (and other racial and gender minorities ) characters into a story that isn’t related to black (and others) culture. They should use more stories like princesses jasmine, mulan, moana, that truly embrace different cultures and races, instead of lazily changing little mermaid, Egyptian queen, and an ancient japanese warrior to black characters. This is not being truly inclusive, this is being LAZY, and actually racist, because they cant care less and dont even bother to study and explore the real black culture, and to make an original story about it, but only want to make bare minimal effort to fit in the “woke” on surface. This act not only is stupid and unappealing, but also drives wedges among different minorities (im sure most of egytians arent happy about the false representation of their races)

I have not opened an IGN score in like 7 years. I go off steam scores or trying the game out for myself which steam has a 2hr gameplay and 1 week refund policy. In order to be sold to the West. The West panders too to the East and the Arabs if they wanna sell their stuff there. FIFA doesn't have the female competition in the Arab SKUs for example. It also lacks gambling and alcohol sponsors on player's kits. China asked for the removal of HK insignia and flags on the HK operators and maps in Rainbow Six Siege, as another example. The Stadium event had flags of all the member countries of the Rainbow Six team, except for HK. And I now this from hands-on experience, as I worked on both games. EA does it, Ubisoft does it, Blizzard does it... Blizzard even went political and banned a player that advocated for HK freedom during a Hearthstone competition.

@@EndymionTv Not sure I would call The Devs explanation of failed projects/games where in they use pregnancy cycles and an eventual miscarriage weird or eccentric though. All they did was explain in terms most could easily understand the complex intricacies of game development and how sometimes things work and other times they don't. And how internal and external factors play a role in game development, we seen this with every franchise ever as few haven't had factor related issues throughout the series be it continuity or the games reception by players.

theyre like mafia who try to impose themselves in establishments by getting 'protectioning money', if not, then they do things to upset the business.

The journey to the West and generally the character of Sun Wukong is the stuff of legends. You don't pollute this heavy lore with woke trash. It would be cultural desecration.

Media bias is on so many levels the average person would be shocked and appalled at how wide their reach truly is. From politics to crime rates and now even video games.

These companies need to be closed. We need to take our hobbies back and gatekeep them. Period. We no longer can rely on the so-called "journalists" to do their jobs glad you're here to do it for them.

I recall a lot of people saying the same thing about the stellar blade devs. And we'll that goes for censored last minute. I hope these devs are different but I'm not getting my hopes up yet I'll wait till I read and hear the reviews 1st before I buy this game too.

the positive I take from this is now nobody can say that all those companies are nothing more then tyrannical grifters set to invoke their will on all of gaming development and also you never need them to be apart of your creations... those other development brands opt to let those pukes dictate what their game is actually going to look like as they get paid in the process

You can't change a fox spirit to be fat, ugly, and black without breaking the lore. There's nothing inclusive about blatantly disrespecting other people's cultural works.

This is the stance I take. If woke wierdos want to make quality woke material for woke people, they ahve every right to do this. But they don't have a right to force others to buy it and this is what we call the Free Market Capitalism where the market determines a product's actual value to the society based on the demand by the public for that product. If it's low demand you have to lower the price. If it's high demand the price stays higher because supply is limited. And because we live in a digital world there is abundant opportuinity for game companies to make infinite copies of games and suceed in what they do, but the limiting factor is who is paying for it. If nobody is buying your material then you just worked for free! So these woke activists if they were true believers in their activism shouldn't be paid for what they do if they are doing it for non-commercial reasons. But for non-woke game companies they should be doing it based on free market capitalism (IE based on whether the product they make has demand to warrant it being made) I am surprised people don't understand this. If your game is low demand due to something like having ugly people in it, then it stands to reasons you will fail because you are making something nobody ASKED FOR!! If there is no demand for it don't f*cking make that crap. But they are propped up by free money and are destroying jobs. It's actually a form of economic terrorism because the people that get laid off at Volition and other companies that went bellly up now have to look for work elsewhere. This is why when Donald Trump get back into contorl we as a gaming industry (non-woke) must legislate that it's illegal to have product made that ruin the industry. (free makret capitalism only allows for product to be made that have demand) The people handing out funding for woke messaging must have all their games labelled with a "contain political acitivist" material on it. And then Trump uses tax dollars to have group to check if the messages are harmful to ameica's capitalist worldviews. If it does then the label is slapped on it to warn parents that their kids are being influenced by communist messages. We had the Comics Code Authority in marvel comics in the past to ensure entertainment was monitored for subversive messages and harmful content. We need to bring something like that to gaming where if a game has political propaganda in it, then the label is there to warn people so they can make informed choices. Trump can do this if we as gamers shout loud enough.

Its worse, she makes it up. Paraphrasing a bit but in an article she basically called them scared/phobes, because they refused to admit it was totally the intent no matter what anyone else says. She decided she knew better and was and authority on it because she knew better. It is just more of the disconnect from reality that if they think something then it is true because they thought it.

One of the rules of ethics for journalism is that the journalists don't make the story, they investigate and report story. These journalists aren't reporting on organic sentiment, they are making a story, and functioning as a marketing organization.

Now that I'm currently playing Ghost of Tsushima, I now see that AC Shadows's gameplay really is just a copy. If Yasuke has a standoff feature I would laugh so hard

The main issue is IGN was reposting SBI miss translation of posts from game science devs and translating the words into sexist genitalia statements as blackmail, which is just straight extortion for money. Game Science devs have said nothing remotely close to sexist or misogynistic. But IGN no longer does game reviews, they do woke journalism.

The supposed to be game journalist but none on their article actually include the game itself

Wow first they attack a Korean studio with Stellar Blade and now a Chinese studio wish these fake game journos get some sort of punishment for this type of behavior.

Assassin Creed stopped being Assassins Creed with with Syndicate. *Your telling me if there's not a safe place to jump to they just stop at the edge of a roof? What happened to "leap of faith" it literally used to be a mechanic to catch a wall while falling when you jump short.*

To add on Shadows: The Japanese were correct on pointing out how Ubishit screwed up on how Samurai put the katana while on armor. The katana is worn with the blade edge facing the ground when wearing armor. Ubishit opted for what Ghost of Tsushima did but infairness to GoT, the devs explained their decisions why they did on why the samurai during the Mongol invasions were carrying the daisho with the katana edge up and the presence of Sengoku Period armor. Ubishit opted for the Second Tensho-Iga War as the war where their fantasy Yasuke was killing other warriors when in reality, he wasn't even there during the height of that war. Sure, Nobunaga was listed as one of the commanders for that war but he wasn't even in Iga Province at the height of the conflict. He went to Iga Province after his generals captured it to inspect. I mentioned the Second Tensho Iga War since this and Tenmokuzan are some of the wars and battles where an Oda is involved before Honnoji. Nobunaga wasn't even listed as a commander in Tenmokuzan, his son was. So, there is no way that Yasuke fought in those conflicts. Lastly, if I'm a samurai and I have to assassinate people, I wouldn't wear a flashy samurai armor with the clan crest on it. I would opt for a Yamabushi get up or merchant get up in order to bypass checkpoints. Anyways, I remember losing my recently made KZread account despite not being hacked during the height of the brouhaha of AC:Shadows trailer release.
