I think the issue here is that Tinder has an algorithm that's designed to force you into paying them. otherwise, they hide your profile. I got zero matches for 3 days despite having professional photos. I deleted the app after that

Glad I got out of the friendzone and into a stable 4 years long relationship with her but... it took me 2 years of flirting with her because she, too, was startled by my height. Honestly? Understandable with such a big height difference. With general girls tho? Not understandable. All of this to say that probably girls on Tinder don't even know what they're looking for themselves... and that's why height matters so much on there.

I'd argue that even the 1% doesn't end up with a lot of drawbacks hitting them in the back the thing is, when you're the top 1%, surrounded by everyone wanting to be around you, you slowly but surely become desensitized to what an actual decent relationship should look like, because you can and likely are gonna be anywhere with anyone. So in the long-term, you're just getting used to that damaging comfort which is gonna at some point in your life ruin your romantic life Although this is a matter of your choice, I'd still disagree that being the 1% is purely beneficial. If anything, I'd prefer being just the "above-average", but then again you shouldn't even consider trying this app out if you wanna have a good relationship with someone

Actually did the opposite for me. I found it easier to talk to girls on tinder than in person. Get a few half decent photos and give ur profile some personality and u should do alright. I got a little creative with my lines and had some fun with it. Got a few hookups but nothing serious, but It did pump me up. If I didn’t use tinder I wouldn’t have gained the confidence I needed to ask my current gf out.

Well, i installed Tinder a month or two ago. So far i have swiped right to probably 200 girls. No one wrote me back. Today Tinder said I have ran out of people and need to increase my distance settings. I feel you Wojak.

I would NEVER have approached her irl in a million years, but alas, this is Tinder. However, on the date, she acted disinterested and gave one worded answers. The next day, she texted to say that she couldn't see us dating. It was so brutal. I was only looking for a short-term hookup, really. I learned a valuable lesson that day: Never date a woman you're not really attracted to and don't lower your standards.

I remember a couple of Tinder dates that went horribly. One was with a Russian girl. She was a 8/10 in the pictures. I went to met her and she revealed to be a 6/10 and a total a**hole. Talking with her was as funny as being questioned by the police. The other one was Italian with a pretty face (the only thing showing on the profile) but a literal landwhale. She wasn't bad to talk to but the date went quite bad. I don't mind. I think I've dodged a bullet. Nevertheless, the year later I met my wife on Tinder so I say to don't lose the hope.

The problem with dating apps is that the vast majority of the users are men so the chances of getting matched are low. Added with the superficial mechanics of the app, the chances of finding someone is pretty much zero. Not to mention the constant harassment women get on such apps. These apps are created for hookups, not meaningful relationships.

I've heard one of the big problems is that women Match with any guy that they Swipe 'Yes' on.... Because men have such a tough time meeting women on these apps, that a lot of them will swipe yes on almost anyone who isn't completely hideous to them. This basically results in most women have loads and loads of matches to consider, where as guys are lucky to even get one match. The amount of times I've seen a woman where we almost seem made for each other from how she wrote her profile, what she wrote and what she's interested in... And then I don't even get a match is unbelievable. As Colin Russell said on here.... Online Dating for women is like shopping. Where as Online Dating for men is like applying for a job (with a thousand other candidates).

My problem is that all the young women I'm around on a daily basis are mostly my own employees and are brainwashed (college "educated") feminists. Don't get me wrong, they are good employees, but I wouldn't want to date any of them.

I had so many matches that I had to keep my profile hidden. Suffice it to say that more than half of the matches were golddiggers or straight prostitutes. Or sugar babes, which is pretty much the same thing. I had to put in my description: "if you are an escort or a sugar baby swipe left, please". The other girls barely answered my questions, some of them were way too young for me and unwilling to sustain some conversation. Yeah, I got some dates, but it is not worth the hassle.

Somehow this is getting me almost to a point where I would just want to cry in all honesty This may be a very funny video but in it's implications and being so close to an actual reality too it's also extremely upsetting in a way...

here is a bit of a thing people usually don't know. I live in south america. Tinder became popular very slowly when it came out, things are adopted(are shipped, imported or whatever) here from the USA after maybe 5 to 10 extra years in comparison. Tinder at the beginning was alright. There was not that many people, things were balanced, people matched with other people, I know I did, and even matched with people I knew. That's how small the tinder community was. People that downloaded it within the first year of it existing here actually were people interested in having a relationship but that had not much of a social life. I met my first "kind of" girlfriend there (she later became sick with the "progressive bug", and labeled me as an enemy of the state so obviously we parted). A friend of mine met his current girlfriend there at that time too (thankfully for him no progressive bug affected her, but he also is more tolerant of that stuff...). After that point a few years had passed, and Tinder had become super popular. When I downloaded it again I used it for quite some time on and off, and got some matches and dates. But it wasn't the same as before. The quality of the people went down, RAPIDLY. It quickly became a cesspool of the worse in society. So after some dates, one night stands and whatnots, I decided eventually to delete it forever. I often wonder if Tinder reflects the entirety of the female population, or is just a magnet for girls that nobody wants to date, hence why they are there looking for chads.

It's definitely not reflective of the entire female population. I am not single but if I was, I would avoid it like the plague. Back in the day, I actually met a few quality people off CraigsList connections because it was more about starting and sustaining conversations rather than judging someone by their picture. Now apps won't let you upload a profile at all if you don't have a picture. I also met a former partner off POV back when they didn't force you to upload a picture. I messaged someone who had a well-written description and no profile pic and we ended up dating.

I spent so so long on online dating, it took me forever to meet someone. Ive been with her for almost a year and I still have anxiety over potentially having to go back on those f%#!ing apps.. Legit have nightmares semi regularly. I dont think I have it in me to go through that again... So many dates with so many awful "human beings".

I'm 5"9, shredded like Thor, chiseled jawline, dress very well, charismatic (so I'm told lol), good texting game, and I get 1 match a month on tinder by a 3/10. I still approach in person mainly, and have all good fun interactions with women. I've almost never to told no when asking for a number, but that's where 99% of it ends. They don't text back lol, but I haven't given up.

@@Abduckted Depends on where you use Tinder tbh. I live on the east coast 40 miles north of Philly, and get no matches. But if I travel a couple of miles north in my state, I get multiple matches a week. Closer you get to the city I guess the worse it is

Wojak, those sites are the worst place to find love. It's full of shallow individuals that know nothing of love.

I remember using Tinder and other social apps, but all I got is accounts trying to scam me. One day, I was so tired of this, and complained to a match I got, even though I knew the account was probably a scam. I was pretty lonely at that time, and just want to text with someone at that time, even I knew he was a scammer. I forgot how long I complained, in the end, the scammer asked “Wow, you sound you experienced a lot of BS, and even got ideas I don’t have. I’m recruiting new crew members, are you interested?” I rejected politely , and wish him luck on his future. That was the weirdest time I wish someone luck.

I get to ay video games as long as I want, and have far more autonomy and freedom. If someone great came along, I would consider it, but I can enjoy my own company, and if I get bored of that, I have family that I can hang out with. Singlehood is underrated.

Since the video is not so old, I might share my experience too. I'd been there for less than a month, I think. I recreated my account from time to time, but in summary it was ~13 matches. You could have had 100 matches and still encounter that you don't go on any dates at all. Most women just collect your match for the adrenaline-rush because for them it`s just a game. If you would have been considered "hot" enough, you would have gone to 13/13 dates. Women like men too are very lazy to even think about going on a date. They can have all the dates they want and will simply invest their time only into going to a date when they think they have struck the jackpot. You say one thing which they don't like and you're already out. They weed out 99.9% of the men. You could be a 10/10 male model, just to see that she dumped you on your date or ghosted you, because she went back to her ex or another guy came across in a supermarket and then too you are out of the game. As a man with a tiny bit of self-dignity, you don't go on these apps. Better invest in yourself, make a career, do the stock market and cryptos, make yourself rich etc, then put up with the bs of average-minded idiots (in this case: women).
