@@I.am_Groot I have MJ as the goat, but this has got to be the worst anti-Bron argument I've in some time. Bill played when the NBA was still new, there were 9 teams, basically no skilled players, no strategy/set plays, no basketball specific training, etc. Players back then needed a coach as much as I need a coach for a game of pickup basketball. They weren't running plays, it was back to the basket and dunk or hook shoot. I could have coached the Celtics and win. There's 70 years of evolution since Bill's days, more skilled players, analytics, sports science, training camps, full coaching staff, over a hundred different plays coaches could run, etc. It's not the same as the 50s and 60s. If you want to use a modern example (2010+), go for it, but miss me with the 50s.

My stupid Lakers. Could be hiring a coach from another staff (let’s say T’Wolves or OKC). Which would also help recruiting possible stars post LeBron/AD. Or pry away Becky Hammon or Dawn Staley, if they would even consider. JJ being hired would just feel like further nepotism move by an organization swallowed by nepotism from ownership downwards. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if Lakers just draft Bronny on the 1st round. Its such a drama show
