You can tell the creator understood Vegeta on a deep level. He's always been about the pride of the saiyans, his personality in Z is due to an inferiority complex from Frieza making him a lap dog after blowing up his race. He has no reason to hate Goku or act undignified in this timeline.

His hate for goku is due to his class based pride His dad shows that a low class sayain being stronger than a high class is a big no no for sayians so being weaker than a low class was where his issue came from, nothing to do with freeza

@@JohnYoo39I think you’re close. To me, Vegeta’s comment about preparing for war leads me to think that he is gathering wayward Saiyans, ones who were sent out but never returned or reported back, and Goku was the next one he was retrieving

Gokus transformation is based off his original story by Akira-San, Sun Wukong Son Goku. The whole DB was inspired by Journey to the west.

Fun fact: In the original novel Son Wukong can transfer his skills and knowledge to those around him. When they do a shared kamehameha you can see Goku transferring power and knowledge to Vegeta so that they can work together.

@@JusdoinstuF Sun Wukong aka. "The Monkey King" is a god from Chinese Mythology. Goku's character was inspired by Wukong. There's actually a few characters in anime that are based on Wukong. Jin Mori (God of Highschool) , The Third Hokage (Naruto)

@@JusdoinstuF The "Journey to the West". It's super super famous, so much of those chinese martial arts are based on them. And a lot of anime and manga draw from them. Dragon Ball was an adaptation of the novel with a lot of artistic differences. To them, Goku would be like us having an anime with the apostles and jesus or something. Something super common and famous from their culture/folkore/religion and someone made a fun story with the characters.

I think people really forgot Son Goku IS son Wukong...glad the animator referenced it. Stray dog animation got my respect 💯👍🏿

I mean its an idea from 4 years ago. I think its too late for DBS to turn Vegeta into anything else but a stepping stone for Goku's next breakthru. It's always, lemme fight until you come up with something. Another group talked about being the time for Dragon Ball to be reimagined, and Stray Dog animation studio clearly have something to work with.

I applaud the originality of this. Most fan made animations can be a little cringe but this was super unique and the animation was top notch.

The more popular the video gets the more support sent their way so it could happen as long as there’s people backing it and with the money they gain and popularity they can get more animators sound designers etc so it could be a possibility as long as we support it

I believe it is our responsibility to tell other channels like Normies, Blind Wave, Yaboyroshi, etc to react to this too. The more this goes around the higher the chances are we might get more and quicker than 4 years!

Funner fact : Vegeta came from a different timeline where he learned Kamehameha from a different goku (the creator said this himself) so the only thing goku gave vegeta at the moment was the power to sync up an even stronger kamehameha. And also idk if you saw but right in the beginning , the statues on planet vegeta scene has frieza dead by vegeta hand and the time is A.F . (After frieza)

Loved how every saiyan had their own version of super saiyan and when Vegeta literally turned his super saiyan power into a light saber as a last resort

I think they mentioned it took them 4 years to make this!! 😳 Insane accomplishment and effort, Studio Stray Dogs deserves all of the praise possible and then some for making such an excellent video with creativity, originality and love for the source material

The statue of old King Vegeta shows him defeating Freeza. And A.F in the description of Planet Vegeta means "After Freeza". (told by the author himself in an interview)

I at first thought of this as What If DBZ stayed with the Journey to West mystical style instead of going heavy Sci-Fi. But you guys are probably right about Frieza being defeated. Could've been when Bardock saw the vision the Saiyans took him seriously.

It seems like its on a completly different universe, Frieza might not even be working with the saiyans to begin with, he's maybe just a galaxy conqueror, and Vegeta knows he will be coming soon, thus preparing for war.

@@SKJ9Nrox yes but I believe it also has ties to goku because and Broly plus why would bardock send goku away if Frieza isn’t there yet it makes no sense I think some there’s going to be some sort of revolution against the king and that’s why bardock sent goku away to earth because the battle would be too much and bardocks family was being targeted by those against the king broly and his dad was apart of this revolution and broly was sent to kill goku because they originally tried to kill bardocks family and they are finishing the job this is just one of many explanations thoufh

Goku could've been sent to Earth because Saiyans act different here. Vegeta clearly wasn't mad that Goku didn't conquer Earth, Goku doesn't have any confusion about the name Kakarot but just hates being called that, Vegeta is calmer, ,more poised, and has no problem with Goku marrying Chichi and tells him to do that first before leaving, and he's happy that Goku achieved his transformation instead of being upset about a "low level clown" having access to the form. This looks like a continuity where Saiyans know how to transform and acknowledge that Saiyan transformation is unlocked by forming bonds and going through emotional turmoil, so they purposely send their soldiers to integrate with other races to grow a stronger army of warriors.

Also vegeta has super saiyan so early and goku has barely met chichi so if you had good comprehension or just refular comphrension you would realize this is a completely different universe

If this is what they can do with no budget and just passion, can you imagine what they could do if they got a movie-level budget?

I like the that the animators actually used fight choreography in the animation instead of blurry lines for punches and having them fly around everywhere. Reminds me more of Naruto, Jjk and other animes.

I like how they switched the timeline just a little bit emerge all these things like when vegeta for my family and even you kakarot that’s from the buu saga

And yes Chi Chi can actually fight (something else you learn if you watch Dragonball.. not Z) she fought Goku in the tournament finals (which this fan movie shows) and she was the worlds strongest woman until Android 18 came around

Think about it when ur fighting someone are u gonna use ur hands or weapon. And In martial arts they teach u to RUN 🏃‍♂️ if they got a weapon not to confront. But then u can also bring up the argument that in dragon ball there’s also the use of ki blasts 🤔 Again all I’m saying is that dragon ball fights will be very short if they used weapons more often. When goku sliced half of frieza that was it. Man was bleeding out. When gohan lost his arm he was done needed to retreat. While hand to hand combat can essentially go on forever 🤣

@@insatiablehunger2138 You gotta think like a sayian. They’re not gonna run from you, just because you have a weapon. Think about the enemies they fought that shot blasters etc at them. A fighter with enough skill can easily dodge, and get in close for a counter attack, or straight up catch/deflect a bullet/blaster type weapon away. The problem with those types of weapons, is that you have to catch your opponent off guard, and standing still, against strong fighters, you’d have to use them after the hand to hand fight is over. Like when Krillin was gonna stab Vegeta with that sword. And speaking of swords, remember Trunks gave King Cold his sword, and King Cold tried to use it on him. It was a quick fight alright, but not for the person who had the weapon lol. On the reverse side, you have to remember all times Trunk’s sword was caught, and broken, by a strong opponent. Then there are the Ki weapons, which are highly dangerous, but one critical strike, to break the user’s concentration, will dissipate the weapon, costing them a lot of ki and free trip to combo city lol. I think it would be more like Naruto, if they fought more with weapons. The battles wouldn’t be necessarily quick, but there would be more jaw dropping moments in the fights. Even something simple, like Goku covering the power pole with ki, an using it to deflect a blast, or sending it flying into a opponent for a quick strike, as a lead in for a hand to hand attack. I think the battles with frieza force level enemies, would be short, but the main arc enemies would just be more challenging to a hand to hand/weapon fighter like Trunks

This was just my interpretation and prob a reach, but Vegeta converted his KI in order to create that spirit sword. Christopher Sabat is is well known as the english VA of both Vegeta and Kuwabara from Yuyu Hakusho. With Kuwa’s main steeze being his Spirit Sword, I imagined that as a little homage.

For those who being in the DBZ gang since da 90'$ y'all grew the generation to its core let us carry on to pass on what we shall leave for the generation. PS: y'all are the true WARRIORS

As far as I can recall Dragon Ball Was based on the Journy to the west, which is either about or based on the story of Wukong. I myself have only watched the original Naruto anime, but I think the reference to Wukong is more prominent. I wanna see more of THIS particular story, so here's Hoping!
