    Interestingly, I found that Abdullah the Butcher received NWA World Heavyweight Title shots on and off for over a decade, going back to a loss to Gene Kiniski in Vancouver in 1967. Who would have expected he of all people would receive shots at the Ten Pounds of Gold?
