Wizkid and Davido Saga | Why Afrobeat as a Genre will be dead soon

Wizkid has recently made headlines for his social media activity, where he threw shade at Davido and Don Jazzy, key figures in the Nigerian music scene. Today, we delve into all the details.
But I do not want to focus on the beef. I am focusing on the harm this beef will do to the Afrobeat Industry at large.

Doing music in Nigeria right now for the upcoming artists especially the struggling independent artists is just passion.... Nigeria is one of the hardest place to do music

I totally agree with you on the issue of diversification of genres. Technology has given everybody the opportunity to access a lot of information these days and because of that, it would be nice to have talents in the Nigerian music industry that are diverse with their talents in different music genres.

The big labels need to hire young people to scout for these new artists

The problem is that, signing artists just for talent is quite risky for the label managers, there are too many talents now and they can't all be signed... signing artists with numbers is important because it shows that the artists already has something going before being signed, this shows how hard-working they are l rather than just talent, someone could be talented but lazy, and that cannot be tolerated in the music business, the numbers alone shows that one is hardworking and can gather people's ears🤍

Mr Teepsoul I want u to also remember that what you consider as wack music is wat another person see as good music too Nd wat u see as good music can be trash to someone else ears Everybody have different taste of music If not there won’t be 30bg fans and Wizkid fans Thats to tell u wat someone else is enjoying is nt what the other person is enjoying So everyone is talented if u do wat u do very well and differently

You rather say your podcast is dead and buried not for you to be killing other people's efforts in music with vague headlines and messages.
