Absolutely! I'm kinda blown away. I clicked on this wanting to know about how to enjoy stuff that isn't my taste, so I knew I'd learn /something/, but holy moly it's packed FULL of wisdom. Only bit I disagree with is the disclaimer about respecting authority and complying with cops.

Every time Travis says "what's up, danger?" with that exact intonation, a year is added to my life.

It's absolutely absurd, dour, and hilarious that a wikihow article would see fit to futureproof an article about Slipknot IN CASE THE BAND PASSES AWAY. I think the responsibility to "keep Slipknot alive" should not be given to fans of Slipknot! What a weight to put on their shoulders!

Two of Slipknot's classic lineup are deceased and a further two have left the band, it's not an unreasonable concern by this point.

Trying to generalise it (for myself) - how to enjoy anything that you initially find repulsive: 1 - Learn to appreciate life in general, and especially take a passionate interest in stuff closely related to the subject. 2 - Transform yourself into something that reflects your desire to enjoy the subject, even before you've tried enjoying it. 3 - Reject "cringe" and "cool" and observe your interests without judgement, positive or negative. 4 - Don't let your interests turn into obsessions. Keep yourself balanced. 5 - Now, apply step 3 and 4 to step 2 and realise that you don't need to perform every aspect of fandom to be a fan. 6 - Identify with aspects of the subject you wish to enjoy, and try to look beyond the superficial. 7 - Learn how to create the thing you enjoy, in order to appreciate it on an even deeper level. 8 - Invest in your interests and share in the enjoyment with other fans. 9 - Pretty much a combination of step 2, 6 and 7. 10 - Pretty much step 3. I disagree with the "you must respect cops" bit, but that's just my opinion. 11 - Acknowledging discomfort in advance helps you prepare for it, so that it is easier to overcome in the moment. 14 (wait, I guess they skipped some steps?) - Evangelise, for your own sake as much as anyone else's - persuading others will help persuade yourself (don't force yourself onto others, though!). And, learn how to let go as easily as you can stay attached. 16 - Love your neighbours. ...I should go read the full article later, this was great stuff. And maybe I'll also go listen to Slipknot, too.

I’m laughing so hard right now oh my god 😂 this is so good!! I’m still trying to catch up - I started listening during the pandemic and now I’m on episode 427! So I don’t know what the “cloud wizard” bit is, but, if it’s wikihow articles, IM SO EXCITED LOL. The “riddle me piss” segment is already so good (it’s pretty recent if you’re where I’m at episode wise). Whenever they say “do we have too many segments-“ in the show I’m just like nOO I LOVE THEM. it makes more sense when you know the history of the bit. it was originally called wisdom of the crowd but trav and justin kept saying the name wrong as a bit so it changed to wisdom of the cloud and the wizard of the cloud

I guarantee that you don't know what every fan on KZread wants from a video edit. For example, I'm also a fan on KZread, and I liked it! If I want the original audio, I can go pull up the original audio from the podcast (which, spoiler alert, already underwent an editing pass). And so can you.
