Got to see this legend live on the Summer Slaughter tour in '07, openers were The Faceless (in their prime), Beneath the Massacre, Ion Dissonance, Arsis, Cattle Decapitation, and Decapitated came on right before Necrophagist. Best show I've ever seen.

The night he passed, my friends and I were waiting in line to see Gojira, Behemoth, job for a cowboy and beneath the massacre in Denver. The whole line was buzzing with the news. Many shots were had that night. The bands that played dedicated their sets to him.

it's really a shame because i didnt realize how good of a drummer he was until after he was gone. even their older albums still meet the bar of good death metal even by modern standards. He truly was ahead of his time
