It's always about the killer, never the victims. This man in April 1983 shot two men, slit their throats and stole their money and a truck. The two men he killed wanted to live too.

I don’t believe anything the lawyer has to say regarding Zagorski still respirating. After a 20 second solid electrocution... that dude was _not_ breathing. The lawyer clearly was emotional and has an agenda in this issue, hence she cannot be impartial as an observer. The journalists prior to the lawyer agreed there was no movement. I _highly_ doubt they’re all wrong and she the only one right. SMH

Montgomery Mall Didnt think we’d be seeing another execution by electrocution anytime soon...This chair seems to be the most effective and cleanest out of all the states who have electrocution for its intended task..Leutcher always said that two leg electrodes was the key and it appears he was correct...no smoke, no burning, no nothing.......Virginia’s chair as u obviously know, seems to do the job pretty clean too....But TN, although the chair has only executed 2 people, both executions were completely smooth and uneventful.....Death Row Inmates in TN @ least, may be following in Zagorski’s lead, seeing how quick it was...when performed CORRECTLY, by correctly TRAINED people, other than a firing squad, electrocution is and always has been the fastest way to go...Jerry Givens always said, if given a choice, he’d go via the chair and id say his opinion counts...

@@ziggybammurphy191 Leuchter's protocol was not used for this or any other Tennessee electrocution. After he was discredited as not being a licensed engineer, Leuchter lost his contract with the state of Tennessee. They turned to Jay Wiechert, a real electrical engineer, from Fort Smith, Arkansas as their consultant for the electric chair. Wiechert determined that the wiring apparatus for the Leuchter built chair was insufficient for conducting an execution. As such, Wiechert rewired the chair and adjusted the voltages.

You mongoloids can't help but always cry out "I bet the victims didn't (fill in the blank)" or "They are forgetting about the victims" or some nonsense about how people feel more sorry than the condemned than the victims. Let me make it easy for you: It's not about the condemned, it's about protecting the integrity of the capital punishment system by reporting on the execution thoroughly, accurately, and with a great amount of detail to the condemned. No, the condemned doesn't usually deserve a quick and easy exit, but our nation has protections against cruel and unusual punishments (torture included) that extend to everyone. If we violated that, the whole system becomes defunct and without integrity. There have been many, many, many detailed reports, accounts, and other forms of media made about the victims. To say that "they are forgotten" just shows how little you understand.

Take a look at some of the wardens who are vehemently opposed to the death penalty. Listen closely to what they say about taking a very alive person into a little room and burning them or injecting chemicals into them that ends up in death. These wardens are all "victims" of state death penalty laws. Many have had nightmares, many have had to have professional help. It's just not normal for normal people to do what they've been asked to do.

No good outcome....For the state to take a life goes beyond what I would want the state to have power over and have deep regrets for what the convicted goes through and/or could have offered the world. I ALSO feel for the victim that was terrified, victimized, brutally murdered, and made to endure all that can be that nightmares are made of and their families that must also endure that pain. While it is wrong to systematically take life, the punishment reserved for those facing execution cannot begin to rectify the damage theyve caused by taking their life alone. The victims must be defended but the convicted must only pay with their lives in the most pre meditated and horrific of crimes.......

Given the amount of trouble with lethal injections and electrocutions, you'd think the obvious choice would be to move to firing squad. Of course no death is going to be completely humane or painless, but at least it wouldn't be a freak show. Someone shot in the heart has no chance of living and death is nearly immediate.

Wow. I'm actually shocked that someone put some real thought into a comment. You recognize that justice would be to do "as he did" to his victims but also recognize that the State can't do that without being almost as bad as the condemned. Also, do people really want someone who is capable of doing such a thing (to the condemned) to be free in society? Can we say Dexter? I think that you also recognize that humane and painless methods of execution may not be what a murderer deserves, but in order to protect the integrity of the system we should always be looking for better methods. More points to consider: 1) Should you watch a human deliberately killed, would you not say several “hums”?? I would…. 2) These three reporters are confirming the view which they had. We want one unified report, don’t we? Better to have three in agreement than one without any confirmation, I’d say. “Uhms” and all. 3) What would be YOUR last words? 4) Do you deny the right of people to care for someone even if they had horribly murdered others? 5) Don’t be so sure that the guards and prison personnel didn’t vomit and say “Uhm” afterwards… Being such a staff would take its toll, as some former executioners and wardens have stated. 6) If you DO kill someone, expect to find out for yourself whether your humor and hatred today still feels deep down good. We may all make grievous mistakes. 7) Be good out there or eat your own vitriol. None of us is an angel.

You can check on these issues yourself and see if you find differing opinions of the process. There are examples of the convicted individuals breathing after the first or even second jolt. These seem to be due to poor conductivity or current level, but electricity is not completely understood to this day; people do survive some lightning strikes… Since Edison the process of “Westinghousing” people has changed, but remains iffy.

26:36 dear poor woman Execution of these murderers will never make the world a better place, God Almighty has placed men into power to keep Law and Order, it's God Almighty who has given the Authority to pass down The Death Sentence to punish cold blooded murderers who have no love for Jesus or their neighbors, The Death Sentence carried out in 30 days instead 30 years will send the message to the Godless murderers and butchers of our little children. If these murderers and we the people die in our SINS we will all see Judge The Mashiach Yeshua Christ Jesus. The White Thrown Judgement. Yeshua Jesus is The Way and The Truth and The Life. Repent for The Kingdom of God is at hand. I want to go to Heaven when I die, I Pray you all will too.

One day, maybe next century the USA will join the rest of the civilised world and abolish the death penalty. The very notion of people in the UK attending a hanging and then discussing the grisly details before camera is abhorrent in the extreme. What I recognise however is that the US has a different attitude towards life and death which may change in time. It’s a violent world we live folks.

What a show! very professional. I have a suggestion, send it directly from the death chamber, if possible with dramatic images, let the fans bet on how long the leading actor will take to die! In the meantime, advertisements would do well: "We are interrupting the broadcast of the execution for a minute. Thanks to the sponsor who made this incomparable experience possible for you, dear viewers. or: The delinquent wears execution fashion by .... at his grand entrance! " You could get even more viewers with other, much more colorful executions such as Quartering or Burning !, that would meet the audience's taste much more precisely! I also miss the cheers of the family of those who were executed, or feel the suffering and pain about their loss. Hard to imagine that the delinquent might have someone to love him.

She is right. If the State executes, it must do it another way. Electrocution is a barbaric cooking. And the injection is a clinical looking procedure for the onlooker but there is evidence now that it is torturous for the condemned person. There needs to be less time between sentence and execution, and a more humane and efficient method employed.

They should a said “ let’s eat” at the end 😂😂😂 I imagine she had a hard time smiling whilst watching the warden fry a human English breakfast. 😂😂😂 she should be thankful she didn’t witness the tefaro execution!
