Thank you so much for reviewing the cheaper stuff,its because of youtubers like you that got me back into the hobby after being away from it for almost 30 years. I started watching your channel,driftomaniacs,Kevin Talbot,and a few others 3-4 years ago. Being on a budget,the bang good rc cars like the wl toys were a great way to start with the hobby again. Now I've saved up and got some more expensive cars,traxxas,kyosho,but I still have a blast with the cheaper cars. Keep up the great work and thank you again for all you do.

I often get more satisfaction out of the cheaper ones than the more expensive. They’ll always be a part of the channel as I know so many rely on the cheaper stuff to be able to enjoy the hobby 👌

Yeah, there are a TON of people who would really love to get into R/C but don't have $1000 to dump into it. The cheaper stuff, can be hit or miss so we need people like Tomley to do the reviews. Do I have the money to spend $800 CAD into an R/C car? Yeah I do. Will I? Hell no. Not because I'm cheap but because I will not spend that much money on a "toy" as I did on a full sized 4 x 4 Ford pickup. The "practical" side of me prevents it.

Been subbed to many RC channels for a long time, watched them all grow, and the people change. The drama, the loss, the ego, the growth, the evolution of the hobby. It has been interesting.

Now I am 44 and reclaiming my lost childhood. 2 18311's, 2 crawlers and an Axial Yeti jr with homemade brushless conversion and growing. I love your channel for great info, range of accessible budget RCs, projects and laughs👍. Great to hear your gratitude to those that helpes you along the way. Keep ot up👍

On your review, I bought the lil' BHX 'Ravage'. Once fitted with a car gyro (short wheel base on dusty ground = straight line tricky control issues etc), it has been super good fun! So thanks to you.........and Kevin!!!!

You have such an awesome collection of cars. The cheaper cars are actually fun to see. I think most people can't afford to spend so much on a car just to take it out and destroy it. What I like about your videos is when you pan around on your car collection. 👍

Great video Tomley....and THANK YOU for shedding light on some of those gems that as you said may NOT have been given a second look and a chance... I really dig buying those cheap cars because a cheap Rc can be made into a GREAT Rc if you know what you're doing....I like to point out in this video your "grave yard" as you call it of old beat up cars and trucks...REALLY like that..and I say that to say this...You should make some side videos with those junked cars...like when you're not doing a review on a new product you could go to your junk heap and pull one out and restore it and see how well it does..kinda like a Tomly's junkyard resurrection segment?????...Just throwin it out there...I'd love to see that..cuz I have a small pile of junked cars myself would love to see what you do with your old cars...maybe pull a couple out and make one working car from the 2??...who knows??...Thanks for the awesome videos Tomley

Phil, as someone who works in precision engineering, I'll ask you to please NEVER use that handle that we see on top of your 3D printer. Please lift it with two hands supporting the base. I know the handle looks convenient, but I guarantee it will fek up the vertical alignment of the Z axis, (if it even has any alignment in the first place) I bought a Creality Ender 5 with it's fully cubic framework, because I could see how that benefits overall stability, and I only ever move it sideways on it's table. These things are assembled using the cheapest fixings you can imagine, and they are not properly tightened for their size, in my opinion.

Yes, it’s not getting moved now it is in position. My last one was such a pain to get the Axis set correctly… I’ll be leaving this where it is to avoid and movement

@@tomley_rc Hm, one thing that you might do before finally leaving it is to install a piece of fire board under it. Approx 10mm thick and made of cement and glass reinforcing. That was the last thing I did with mine. Just a precaution against overheating electronics indoors.

I found this video interesting. I am an old man and I have found that one good person can really influence the things your trying to accomplish. Like Kevin, these kind of people are just trying to do a good job. But, there are not as many Kevins as there used to be. I have a question unrelated to your video. One of th places I receive advertising emails from is Nitrorcx. Their cars appear to be similar to other cars out there. How many of the less expensive r/c cars you review are produced in the same factory and are sold under different brand names throughout the world? It might be interesting to find r/c cars with different names that are actually identical. Thanks for the video. It's always good to learn a little history.

Yeah I’ve got a couple in my RC cart from this channel I’ll probably get later this summer I have the UDI rally car your reviewed The Lancia delta my brother has two of truck version they are so much fun! And yes they’re in the hobby shops here in the US now IMEX RC and I believe they have a monster truck 1/16 Shogun .

Banggood isn't cheap any longer. In many cases, they won't even ship to Canada. I've seen some of their shipping rates that are as much if not more than the actual product.

Must say, im adicted to the Kev’s video’s and his style. But it is Nice to hear and see on this channel who has normal voice and is normal in handling tool and materials . So don’t compare bananas and hammer’s 🤨 Check both!

In hindsight for April 1st you guys should of posted a video for each other

The reviewers of products are treated much different than the normal person buying on Banggood. I ordered a servo about a month ago and its still not here. Same with a controller I ordered at the same time. Tracking from there is horrible. All the positive reviews are with people getting there stuff in less than a week from China. No such luck here. Ill stick to ebay and Amazon. Dont have issues there.

I purchase a lot from Banggood as well… and I can assure you, I don’t get treated any different. It’s only on products for review where it differs. But that’s because it’s a different process, although recently that’s been a pain to sort, with things not being set, or things being cancelled.

I'm done with Banggood. Their delivery times suck and if they don't have what you ordered they keep your money in exchange for a few paltry purchase points, if you wait (for another 1.5 months). No thanks. Too many other choices amoung suppliers that don't try rip you off.

@@tomley_rc I am somewhat amazed that you responded. Thank you. I'm what you Brits call a "pensioner" with limited resources. I'm 70 years old and have been in and around RC's since I was about 10 years old. Started out with static line aircraft. At any rate, I do not have the stroke of a KZread content provider to influence a particular distributor. My intent was expose Banggood as a less than honorable entity. I've switched to Ali Express. They look the same as Banggood, but are MUCH more RC intensive and respectable, so far.

Although I’ve not had that many issues with Banggood as a normal ‘buyer ‘… I have also switched to Aliexpress for a lot more now. Prices seem to be a bit cheaper, and so far I’ve had zero problems with delivery. I’ve also started sharing links to Aliexpress for some products 👍
