As cool as it looks, IMO, it’s a dog, and doesn’t seem to be that durable either. Here in the US that thing costs $185. The Gorgon is only $169. I realize everything’s not always about speed. But this thing only did 23mph on 3s! The Gorgon does 24-25mph on 2s. I enjoyed the video as always, Phil. But IMO this thing needs a lower price point.

I've got the flux and the Saturn one they both great infact I prefer the Saturn it handles abit better with it been slower. Problem with the flux jumpshot is how do you steer if the front wheels ain't on the ground lol it's all fun tho. The steer rods come off alot so make sure to have spares. ❤

You gave it a very good test. I think they sell for about $185 in the U.S. Except for the motor moving it performed well. In past years I found that it was a good idea to check all the screws in the cheaper HPI models. The motor moving is an example on the ones you ran. As you said it would be great for beginners. Although this is a good price, I think to reach its former prominence HPI should sell them for an even lower price.

@@tomley_rcis only ran a couple packs thru my Gorgon before converting it to brushless and only a few since but my motor didn't move before or after. I did use the Hot Racing aluminum motor spacer, motor mount, and Servo saver. I couldn't figure out what actual purpose the mount was but maybe it's because of the movement complaints. I guess it worked because I crashed enough that I trashed the body despite several layers of Gorilla tape. I wanna say the mount and spacer were less than $10 each and both are red anodized aluminum.

You compared this to the stampede, and both of those (stampede/xmaxx) have countless parts available to upgrade if you wanted. You can't say the same for hpi. And I do own a few hpi products, first was bought in 1993 when I was 14 . They are not worth the hassle. No customer support and no parts means you'll have a 180 dollar pile of spare parts for some other fool who wasted time and money when they could have gotten an Arrma or traxxas and never really have down time
