@@LaylaDelRey23 I heard that Amy and Sharon didn't know each other, but they were able to know each other because of the fans and their saying that there was a very similar music and style, and this encouraged them to get to know each other more. So maybe they will do a duet song one day, maybe not right now but soon. We must not lose hope in this.

@carpediemearth huh? I'm not trolling or lying. I'm a huge fan of both and I wish I didn't have that hunch, but I do regardless. Idk why you'd say my opinion is a lie. I WANT them to make a song together and get along, but again, I'm not sure if they 100% get along. And I know I'm not the only one. I've seen others discuss it on reddit.
I love how Amy approached this and the colour she brought. There's some kind of wonder to everything she does. Who else would sing it like that? And it's already a great song but it totally went to another dimension. I love their voices together and I hope that's not the last time we see these bands together. Like most fans, dreaming of a studio collaboration.

I reckon it happens from time to time, but not always. Never see that when Sharon and Tarja are together for example.
I just don't understand how Amy keeps making songs that are already perfection - even better. Without the need to over-power anyone. Beyond beautiful!!!

Wish WT did too, sadly they have never! :( With Nightwish new album, I hope they come to Australia for this World tour for new album. They did not last album/ world tour, due to "production costs"... I need to see Nightwish live in Australia with release of their new album this year... And Within Temptation... Seen Nightwish live twice, and also Evanescence when she played in Brisbane recently. :) I will buy meet n greet tickets for Nightwish, hardcore fan for 20 years... Need to have photo with them.... :D

@@thetruechaby Awww! Did they state this themselves? If so, sucks - but be worth it! Need to see them live once more, in this lifetime... Need too. Thought with release of new album this year, a tour would follow ensuite, and hopefully coming back, to Australia. Thanks for the reply my friend. I hope it is not 2-3 years, but - if so, I will still be buying meet n greet tickets! Nightwish has saved my life on many occasion's, this time I will be handing them something as a thank you in return for the 20 years as of now, of being in my life everyday... By then, they (hopefully) would have read my book by then, in 2-3 years time... XD They influenced parts/ chapters of it, but it's my poetic writing and flare that brings it round.

I saw Evanescence live in Melbourne. It was phenomenal. So much better than I imagined. I would also love WT to come to Australia, as well as EPICA and Nightwish. As the OP said, unfortunately NW stated they won’t be touring their new album. But they have signed a deal with Nuclear Blast for 3 more albums. These bands make life worth living when living gets tough. They are a gift to mankind and help to balance out the horrors mankind cause around the globe. 🤘🏼🫶🏼
Amy's voice was very sick at the time. She even cancelled shows. Impressive that she was able to pull this

@@JmguyN8 I don't know English very well to explain that, but her voice was very weak and "hoarse", like if she had had a very strong flu, inflamation, or sore throat. She even had to cancel 3 or 4 concerts during their tour together, right before she sang this song with WT. This was the only time in more than 20 years that EV canceled shows for voice health issues. As far as I know, they only canceled shows before when some band member quit or when the guitarrist had a stroke.

I love how both women's voices are quite different, but mix so well Sharon's voice is at the forefront, but Amy's voice kinda permeates the entire song without being overpowering her counterpart. The end result is something that is greater than it's already larger than life parts.
I love Amy’s low notes in this song, kinda gives a mysterious tone and Sharon is always wonderful ❤❤

One thing I absolutely love about Sharon is she will share the stage with anyone who will add something to the performance. WT forever...
For being super sick when this was filmed, Amy Lee sounded fantastic here ngl! Sharon sounded amazing of course ❤ They both have two different vocal ranges and styles. But they complement each other well here. I love the contrast! Eargasm! Love these two women rocking together!

Seriously. I LOVE Amy live, but (and it could just be because it looks like Sharon had already been singing for awhile) this was not Sharon's best live performance. Evanescence's Synthesis Live album is absolutely one of the best ever done.

No, but it makes me very, very happy. I read some time ago that WT was gonna tour with Amy but i had not heard anything until this song. But oh my, so good 😍
Oh my gosh this duet was so perfect! It wasn't just one singer harmonizing the other. Sharon was singing in her naturally higher vocal range while Amy was singing in her naturally lower vocal range and they both sang their hearts out like they were the lead vocalist while simultaneously not stepping over each other. They're a duet made in heaven!!
I hope you all duet again, because this is EPIC!!!!

There are bands now capturing some of that Goth ambience, such as Soft Moon, Lebanon Hannover, Selofan, Terror Forms, Linea Aspera, Boy Harsher, and the well known She Past Away.

Perfect mix of voices! Low and high notes harmonization was amazing.

The harmonies in the chorus are absolutely otherworldly. The voices of these two legends meld together so perfectly. If Amy wanted to permanently join Within Temptation as a second vocalist I certainly wouldn't complain.

Amy nunca se va a poner por encima de una voz principal, pero existe un concierto juntas donde Sharon entra tarde a una parte de la canción y se pueden escuchar las armonias de Amy un cosa impresionante, miralo aqui minuto 03:22 kzread.info/dash/bejne/aHd2t9Z_Xbaao5c.html aqui uno entiende que Amy podria brillar más pero no lo hace, por que ama hacer armonias y porque no es su canción tiene que dejar brillar a Sharon

@@ThavoRaven si, son arreglos. Está charlado, quizás Sharon no sepa armonizar. Ya que en otros duetos se la ha visto a Amy más protagonica. Fue una decisión que tomó, un trabajo realmente difícil, xq no son armonías convencionales. Además oscurece su voz, lo q ayuda a una interpretación sentida.

I have waited for a day like this to happen for sooo many years. And now FINALLY, the long awaited dream came true! I just knew both Sharon and Amy would do so well together. Years ago (probably 2007 or 2009) when I discovered Evanescence I downloaded a track named "Evanescence - Restless". I realized it wasn't Evanescence and I found Within Temptation and started to listen. I loved it. Years later this is a fantasy come true for me. So delightful. Thank you both for all the songs that made me who I am and thank you both for this amazing song. ❤
