@@2011Horsham that's not right. He delivered 20 nb is his career, which is also a great performance (check cricinfo). It was Sunil Gavaskar who said" I never saw Kapil bowling no ball during practice" and it extrapolated with time

77 runs from 75 balls, 8 fours and 4 sixes, strike rate of 102 that too in a test match in 1990. Four sixes in a row to avoid follow on in a crucial situation. Who can play like this?. A true legend.

Same innings Azhar scored 121 of 111 balls with help off 22 boundaries. Gooch scored 123 of 113 balls in second innings. He hit 13 fours and 4 sixes. But kapil's innings special is that he has done it at pressure time when team required most from him to avoid follow on.

@@existencedefieslogic9658 I am not talking about the difficulty of middling the ball. I'm talking about the result if one manages to get some part of the bat on the ball. You see fast bowlers going for runs even when batsmen mishit or don't exactly get it right in the middle of the bat. Faster the bowler, more the risk, especially if the boundaries are shorter. If you get the timing right, the pace will do half the job for you.

In 1983 Worldcup, India struggled against zimbabwe 18/5 then KAPILDEV came his miracle knock of 175* to win that match.Real all-rounder India had.

One can praise a player without trying to sully the image of another player by making meaningless comparisons. You clearly cannot differentiate between International T20 and franchise T20 matches. Just find out the dimensions of the South Africa ground before passing such uninformed and unwarranted comment.

I was watching this match Live. In the context of the match, only the great Kapil Dev could play an innings of such quality. An amazing cricketer. Great Personality also. Lots of love from Pakistan.

Kapil Dev, Sandeep Patil, Krish Srikant, Sehwag & Dhoni were fearless players.

Hitting sixes in this ground is very difficult. What performance Sir. Legend in Cricket World.

I remember growing up watching Ian Botham, Kapil Dev, Imran Khan and Richard Hadlee all doing amazing things. So much talent.

Whilst the bowling attack comprised of Garner, Marshall, Croft and Sylvester Clarke, it was a spinner's wicket as from pak bowlers only abdul qadir could take 4 wickets whilst khan and sarfaraz nawaz were able to take only 1 a piece.
