I can tell you guys from personal experience after multiple heavily modded play throughs. The camera mod they added is an absolute game changer and my favorite mod ever. If you set it up correctly it’s a complete game changer. Combat feels much more fluid and realistic and immersion is kicked up 10 notches.

@@chronical I never understood what was wrong with the combat? It's different, but I wish that other games had the same combat as I can dodge whenever and I'm not trapped in an animation. I've beaten the game several times on DeathMarch! and I'm not a spammer of Quen, tho I will use it when I'm greatly outnumbered.

I know right! 2 yrs I've stayed away from the witcher games to make my 10th playthrough on this upgrade version and more excited about this upgrade than anything else!

Nice to see I wasn’t the only one excited about the new armors. Especially the one you referred to as reminding you of griffin. Looking forward to using that on the new play through.

Pound for pound, this is the best game I've ever played. I think the story is long and perfectly tied into quests. Even small quests have unique story elements. The game is beautiful, with one of the most convincing fantasy towns ever created in video games, Novigrod. Blood and Wine is some of the most fun I've had gaming, I loved all of it. And the fact that this is all free is amazing, and shows the integrity with which CDPR want to hopefully operate with into the future. And for anyone who hasn't yet, Cyberpunk is an amazing game right now. Go play it. They've proven to me a company can redeem itself if it wants to.

But why did they say cyberpunk would be more than in it right now and release what it was on launch? Why did one of the devs get a pissy attitude when he was asked why car chases weren’t in they game when they were in other franchises and would help the immersion of feeling like you’re in a city?

I loved the camera handling in God of war. It made you feel like someone with a camcorder following Kratos and recording his actions. Something similar in Witcher would be great.

The switching Signs also works on controller (PS4) as well as PC. I’ve never used this switching method myself but did test it out while playing. Am looking forward to the quick cast Sign rework to the buttons (though I know it’ll take some getting used to 😂)

I believe the Nilfgarrdian armor was called the “ball sack armor” back than and yes, the armor is so bad, but it’s kinda badly great that we’re getting it because someone can make a walkthrough and call it the “You can’t take Nilfgarrd seriously walkthrough.” Also, I wonder if they’re willing to add future Witcher Netflix content, even if not it’s really awesome that they’re hooking us up with more free content; CDPR as far as I’ve experienced is the man when it comes to DLC, choosing not to leech you dry.

One thing I’ve always wanted was to be able to change the appearance of an armor without changing the actual armor. And to be able to upgrade a specific armor to your level. And upgrading it will change its appearance, slowly becoming grandmaster.

@@itsme-mj9ic it’s a cool feature lets you use your armour sets or even mix and match while keeping stats bonuses , I know the Witcher gives you bonuses for wearing a full set so it be especially good in this game

Its called transmogging. And yes they NEED to add it, but havent mentioned it.

Something small I’d like to see is infinite NG+. I don’t like only being able to do it once per save

I hope they call it the "bal-de-sac" armor set.

So i wanted to ask , did they mention adding a wardrobe system similar to cyberpunk ? Late game armors aren't an issue because most will wear grandmaster gear which looks great and has great stats , but in the mid game a lot of the good looking armors are barely used because they may be outclassed by the time you get them and geralt often ends up wearing a mismatch of clothing . Anyway , i didn't hear them mention it but i think it will be a good addition

For the most part the series should be its own thing, they created such great looking characters for Yen and Triss, difficult to re create with real world women, taking that a way would be a mistake.

I always reply the Witcher 3 every few years and I recently finished my last full play though but I’ll definitely have to give it another go when the update drop’s. The new combat camera mode looks amazing can’t wait to try it out as well.

I’m crossing my fingers that Iorveth will be in this next gen update!

The Netflix stuff won't see the light of day on my pc. I might take a look at the swords if they fall into my lap. Infact it might be cool if the names for them are some kind or wordplay, which CDPR is fond of. I'd suggest The Swords of Henri de Savill.

I'm excited for this. Will be a good reason to replay the game after a few years of absence. The new controls for signs seems pretty interesting, should play well with a controller.

As someone who bought a computer late in the game and started playing all the games from 2012 and beyond, having Witcher 3 on my backlog of games absolutely needed to be played and now having this update comes out feels like a gift from the gods themselves. Gonna finish dos2 and start that. Dos2 is one of the best games I’ve ever played and I heard Witcher 3 is absolutely legendary so back to back legendary games is a peak worth savoring and enjoying as much as possible. Haven’t looked anything up yet

I'll give this another watch and thumbs up.

glad the video is back up! The new dragon armor reminds me of eastern style fantasy samurai armors - maybe an easter egg regarding new Witcher manga "The Witcher: Ronin"?

I'm glad they fixed fall damage, during my first playthrough I died before I even left the tutorial area because I read the vaulting tutorial tip, thought there was parkour in the game, and fell straight to my death right out of the bedroom. I kind of wish they'd add in a change to let us kill all of the Crones without having to get the bad ending though. I'm excited for this update!!!

I hope they are going to test each ability from each tree and make sure they are all working. Flood of Anger from the Combat tree doesn't work properly for example. And there may be a few other semi-bugged abilities.

Do you happen to know if they fixed the Hunters Instinct perk? Last I knew it was bugged & didn't work at all. I usually run an alchemy build & I really wanna try it.

I bought this game on my ps4 at launch. I own a series x now and I bought the complete edition last weekend for 10 bucks on Microsoft store. Can't wait to experience this master piece all over again with the next-gen update.

Actually kinda excited for this! Haven't officially finished the entire game. I did notice the game thumbnail has already been changed.

I haven't been that excited in a very long time, I'll be sinking a few hundred more hours into the game, the oriental armour looked so interesting, but I hope there's cloaks and hoods integrated.

It all looks great, apart from the Dandelion, who looks like Lord Farquaad's younger brother.

So if I currently own the complete and digital version of TW3 will I get the next gen update or will it be a whole different version specific for XBSX?

The default settings on your pc let's you switch between signs using the mouse-wheel. I have played through THE WHOLE GAME in death-march, meaning done EVERYTHING, then done EVERYTHING again on new game+ and to me at least, on death march, it's easier to switch signs by using the sign menu anyway, so to me it does not make any diffference.

I think the new sign casting system is cool as shit. Very intuitive and kind of reminds me of the stance changing system from Nioh(only in the fact that you have to hold a button, then press a corresponding button to get your desired effect).

My only question and concern will be if the update arrives will it replace my current ps4 save file? I had the digital version and then a few months later i got the disc version of the GOTY edition but when i installed the disk version it replaced my save file of 22 hours so i had to start from scratch. Currently, i have over 100 plus hours and i am scared it will happen again.

The only thing I need is the ability to use transmog. It’d be nice to use a Witcher set but keep the look of different armor I liked.

They added transmog to CP2077 so it's possible they'll add it to this update.

@@artyjnrii Yeah that’s what I’m hoping for. With The Witcher 3 being CD’s biggest title. If Cyberpunk 2077 can get Transmog, then The Witcher 3 should. I was a bit disappointed it wasn’t shown in their stream. So I hope it is one of the things they intentionally left out.

I would love the option to start a fresh ng+ without going through a playthrough again. Just because I think having a full playthrough with the endgame mutagens would be way better than just having them at the end. I would even pay extra for it

After playing through my heavily modded playthrough, this seems pretty nice and "stable". The camera gave the combat system a new breath of fresh air

I’m really hoping the biggest bug I encountered was the Witcher School quests, some just didn’t work at all and I couldn’t get the armor

I was nearly throwing up to that Dandelion outfit.

Do i need game with all dlc's, or just base game to be able to download this update?

Haven't played the witcher 3 since I first picked it up about 3 years ago, however I didn't check the dlcs and I've been waiting to try them since the next gen update was announced on my ps5, couldn't be more excited to get back into one of the greatest gaming experiences of the last decade

At this point, I'd go for a fresh save. If it's been years since you picked it up, chances are you won't be able to get back into the game as much as you were before.

I own the base game on PS4 disc and I have all the DLC contect digitally. Will this be an issue at all upgrading for my PS5?

FUCK YES CLOUD SAVES!! i've been missing my computer save that became basically unplayable when my game broke (the sounds became distorted and laggy), and was sad to begin again on ps4. this is great news!!

4:43 are those new swords on Geralt's back? I can't remember any wolven gear(I'm assuming they're wolven gear because of the wolf heads) swords with gold accents. If these are new, this would just confirm there will probably be more than CDPR said.

will the new camera angle, armor, quest and things like that be available on old gen consoles or is this strictly for new gen?

hope for new weapons, new skins for horses, new consumables, repeating events and qests, add just a little bit of everything and its a new game. Also would love medieval armor for Geralt with helmet optional

the way they explained in on the live stream, was that you press up A LITTLE BIT on the stick and Geralt will walk normally. Press up more and he will jog/run.

I love the ps5 haptic feedback but I am waiting for the controller to just stop working and the triggers to just break as each day it gets louder and looser in the controller 😩

iv been playing it for the first time im almost done with the main story im in act 3 i still have the dlc iv been playing on steam deck might replay it on ps5 next time to fully enjoy the update and so i can do yen 😜

Is the update still gunna be good for series s?

My theory on these two new sets is that these are in fact armors you were able to get in the previous witcher games. Because the colors of the first one match in some way seltkirks armor but it looks more like the armor you are able to craft at the end of witcher 2. And for the other armor there can be two possibilities aswell, the first is that this is ravens armor from witcher 1 and the other is that this is the armor you get from detmold before going into the mist, because in my playtrough I was able to complete the game without any need to craft any other armor. What speaks for the first possibility is the fact that ravens armor was to be told to be legendary just to be thrown away in witcher 2, and (even though some may argue) it looks adequate to my imagination of that armor in witcher 3. What speaks for the other is the color palet of the chest part which was black and white in witcher 2 aswell.

isn't the manticore armor inspired by the raven armor, I always thought just like the baughest and echinopes( I think I spelled that wrong) from witcher 1 that was added, manticore tributes the raven armor.

@@ToVoMo The first version of the manticore armor is literally the armor geralt wears throughout the entirety of witcher one, the one i think you might be referring to is the chainmail version he has after you start a ng+ which is very cool but not the same as raven armor. For me it just lacks something to be like it.
