Hi! I find the 11th house quite interesting. I studied Vedic astrology (as well as various other styles) and the 11th is thought of in quite different ways by each. I have the 11th ruler Mars - for Aries - exactly (5 minute orb) from my 1st ruler Mercury - Gemini rising- in the 5th house. Is there anything you can say about that? Just in relation to the 11th ruler so closely aspecting the 1st ruler? I have Jupiter in the 12th in Gemini also.

The connection between Mars as ruler of the 11th and in such an exact Conjunction with Mercury ruler of the 1st, makes me think about speaking on the behalf of others, speaking to groups or on behalf of groups. I would also say, take care with what you say as words are powerful and if spoken in anger could cause conflict. Mercury Mars contacts could indicate a propensity for impulsive or angry speech.

@@lifeastrologer, thanks for your input. I hadn’t thought of that particular interpretation (speaking for groups ). I have been a part of groups- meditation and spiritual groups- since childhood. I’ve felt the need to separate myself in the last several years from groups in general, in order to follow my inner guidance better. But perhaps I’ll be part of a group again in the future that I won’t feel disempowered by to some degree (any small amount of disempowerment makes me feel uncomfortable now). And yes, Mercury-Mars can certainly cause a sharp tongue. A very direct way of communicating. But it’s better when I’m not repressing, as then there’s balance and not an extreme movement between all or nothing communication.

I have Mars in Cancer out of bounds in the 11th opposite Saturn squaring my Nodes so no Silver Spoon here... My spiritual awakening has been so painful from fibromyalgia. Death would have been easier.
