An afternoon looking around Railway support services yard (RSS).
The staff was able extremely kind to allow access to the yard and freely look around the yard with some amazing finds.

This place is definitely worth a look if in the area always remember to ask permission before walking around an active site and take extra care.

this was my first visit and did not disappoint I intend on returning in the upcoming weeks after some locos have been swapped in and out hopefully 🙏

Yes they are stripped for parts I believe this is wishaw outskirts of Sutton Coldfield

@@dinmorejunctionmodelrailway good morning I turned up and asked in the cafe on site but to be extra sure I asked the Maintance man in the shed working on the class 08s before proceeding to look around they was more then ok with it
Wonder if they would sell any parts

I’m hoping to go back this week so will see if any work has been done to it I know the manager of the site said someone owns it and is just storing it there at the moment

The two in the maintenance shed are more than maintained the rest are just for parts or stored
