    Nice neat work. It’s interesting to see how different electricians wire homes in different parts of the country. Never seen the meter disconnect combo box before. Nice video

    We have always installed the meter socket with main breaker combo, We feel its safer as you can shut it all down right at the source. That said NEC (National Electrical Code) apparently now requires it and our local utility is enforcing the requirement

    I would put the metal plates on every stud in my place since I know I would probably be putting in screws for stuff and wouldn't want to have to worry about going through a wire.

    No, it is based on distance from the wire to the face of the stud. 1.25 inches if I recall
