    A 1200 watt psu will make cable management harder to organize ? Or do they make them the same size as that 1000w u used ? Can you recommend one? Thanks

  • @ThisBytesForYou

    @ThisBytesForYou

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@firstclaims30 no no not at all, it all depends on the cables. A modular cable is easy to cable manage because you can use ONLY the cables you need, and the cables you don't you can save them away in the box for later, who knows you may need them. The more powerful the power supply, the more cables it will have, because it can do more. Between a 1000Watt and a 1200WAtt, surely there will not be any difference, but between lets say a 700Watt and a 1000Watt, yes there will be. As for recommending one, I have 3 of these types, this is my amazon affiliate link: geni.us/IVoE, I hope this helps my friend ;) Also, please do not comment under a pinned post, or under someone elses thread. KZread many times will not deliver a notification for this post and I would have never know, I try to scavenge my site for comments, I love to help and I never want to miss a comment from you. thank you so much my friend, I truly appreciate it, that's over 20 years of on the job training haha, I was a product development engineer for Alienware before Dell bought us, then for about 6 months after they bought us and Velocity Micro. At Velocity Micro I would send a lot of machines to get reviewed at CNET, PCMag, MAxPC, TechTV, G4, and all the big pubs ( i forget their names) so I always try to make sure they are as beautiful and functional as possible. For my videos though, I do it a little more sloppy, it takes me 6 hours to record these, when I would cable for reviews, it was an entire day, its blood sweet and tears for sure ;)

    Yeah, there is always a need for XL, and its funny, that it always comes out later, stay tuned ;). 3 Fans in the bottom, I dont think its necessary, unless of course there is an XL, just my opinion though. Was wondering how the air flow would be. The aio is doing intake in this case right? As well as the bottom fans? That would mean 4 intake 1 output. If the aio or the bottom fans change to output that would be 3 output, 2 intake. Was wondering if I need to order more fans not super knowledgeable on something like this I just know you should have even intake/output or slightly more intake. Thanks!

Wait, you have air exhausting from the front? Can you not put the radiator up at the top? You want cool air coming into the case, you are just exhausting, so you are using Negative rather than positive, you will get better results with positive. If you don't agree, we can stop the discussion and leave it at that as I won't be able to help you, but you are not getting cool air in your machine, unless you are pulling cool air in. The front should be intake, better would be having intake from fans, rather that fans and a radiator as they would be less air coming in. I don't mean the very bottom of the case, I'm talking about the floor that the GPU sits on. Second, because I want to mount a 360mm RAD where you have your AIO mounted, and Hyte has ONLY made this space for a max 280mm RAD (Which was MORONIC), I would need to cut that floor to make space for it, so I'm wondering how difficult you think that process would be (if plastic it would be much easier), and is there any other obstructions I haven't taken into account (like the space below the floor in that area), as I've not seen the case in person??? Thanks. Good vid.

    the bottom, the floor of the visible inside of the case is a metal and no, I don't see a way of mounting a 360 in there, you would need to go through a lot of the metal and plastics and the case already is a little unsteady depending on where you put weight, you may need to reinforce things. There are a lot of obstructions, you can see my unboxing here where I show you a lot : kzread.info/dash/bejne/gZyf3MeyltqxiJs.html and then if you like the build video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ioaVs8ucZ9XIc6Q.html, I hope this helps.

    @@firstclaims30 yes it will all fit, the build is similar to the one I did here, well size wise. A 1200, let's go for a 1300, they are affordable enough right now, check it out on my affiliate link: geni.us/oWwQ. I think its a nice build my friend but one thing is DDR5,... there is still a lot of instability, maybe wait for the new AM5 or newer intel boards to come out, since you are waiting on the 4080 anyway, also, maybe a better case will come out, Hyte is always working on something now that they have peoples attention, just my opinion of course.

    @@ThisBytesForYou the monitor I am buying is the Alienware 34” qd-Oled 175hz, do you think with this config I can get close to that 175fps maxed out ? The res on the monitor is 3440 by 1440. And also, do you know around when those new intel boards release ? If it’s a while from now, I will probably get that ASUS apex and switch the ram to ddr4. Thanks for your help bud

    @@firstclaims30 I am partial to that monitor, since I was a product development engineer for Alienware, BUT.... its not a 4K monitor. The blend of a 2K and 4K resolution will make it very fast, but you cannot claim an FPS based on specs really, you can guestimate, but it will depend on resolution, game settings, and so many other things. But like you said, it will be a while, maybe DDR5 will be better, just stay tuned here my friend, I hope to have more on it soon.

    The aio pump hoses should be at the top of the radiator. As it is right now if there's any air in the system, it could cause noise if they were to get stuck in the pump itself

  • @ThisBytesForYou

    no, not with the hoses on the bottom, with the hoses on the bottom all the bubbles are at the top, this is actually the best, Jay and Steve have said it as well and Arctic recommends it as well. You are thinking of the inlet and outlet above the pump, not below or level.

    One big mistake on AIO radiator mounted upside down, all the air bublles will rise on the pump and will stay there, in short period of time youll see high temps on CPU and the pump will go crazzy. And you will wonder why. Just mount the radiator head up. Thx me later.

    Mounting it upwards has its own issues if you have the hoses above the pump, if you are mounting it sideways, which is why I mounted it with the hoses on the bottom, since the other way they would have been way too high. The best way is to have the AIO on the top of the case, but I also wanted to show that it was versatile, so I mounted on the side, with the best way to mount it, with the hoses at the bottom.

    I noticed it immediately as well lol. It'll still work but the pump will crap out far sooner than it normally would if it was mounted correctly. It's like having a car that constantly have to drive up hill which will make the engine have to work harder.

    I was gonna comment on that bur actually he installed it one of the best ways. The rad is side mounted tubes down meaning all the bubbles are at thr top reservoir. For audio you want the tubes at the bottom as long as the top of the rad is higher, but tubes up is also fine. Just as long as the pump isnt the highest point in the loop

    no problem my friend, sorry for snapping at you, but you have to imagine, I get these snarky remarks often, challenging me on things I know, though I am human, I could be wrong, another approach could have been something along the lines of "Is the way you installed the liquid cooling unit, with the tubes on the bottom correct, it looks odd to me?" or something like that, regardless, we are cool now. Top works too, just like is shown in the manual, If you want to buy it, please make sure to look in my description, I have links to it on my amazon affiliate store. Also, aside from this wiring guide, I have a build guide, showing you how to build inside of this case, you can find it in the description as well, or the pinned comment. I am loving the Hyte Y60 so far, I am sure you will too.
