Wireless speaker build project using a new plate amp by Arylic

Ғылым және технология

Up2stream Plate Amp: www.arylic.com/products/wirel...
Arylic Official Store: www.arylic.com/
I constructed a really nice sounding 30 watt per channel wireless speaker set using a new plate amp by Arlic. These units operate exactly like the big name expensive systems by a company that rhymes with "Bonos"
It allows streaming from youy PC over wifi or eithernet, supports bluetooth for streaming from your phone directly, can be plugged into you compyter by USB and also has an aux input for those times that you just want to plug something in directly. Can operate as an independent system, or have multiple systems in the house playing the same or different sources and supports all the popular music streaming services.
Tune IN, IHeartRadio, Soptift,QQMusic,Tidal,Napster,Qobuz and Deezer.

    Excellent! I am not really one of those people who listen over wireless speakers with compressed audio (yet, I might when I get older and stop noticing mp3 artifacts and stuff) but I can see how neat this is. Such a tiny module, so much power. 20-40 Watts!!

    You only notice compressed audio when it is over compresses. My library is mostly high but rate and FLAC. That is lossless. I get a kick out of those that spend big money of record players because they think they sound better. Sorry to burst their bubble because they don't. High end tables are more of a status symbol now to show your friends how foolish you are with your money. A good CD player are good flag file will blow the doors off of any vinyl. Anyone who thinks final sounds better has compromise hearing.

    If I'm not mistaken those "onos" systems let you use two separate units together to make a stereo pair. I'm curious if these can do that. In my opinion needing to run a separate cable to the other speaker defeats the purpose of this. At that point why not use a standalone receiver which doesn't require modifying a speaker?

  • @12voltvids

    @12voltvids

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes you can. I demonstrated that in one of the other videos you could buy two of these modules place one in each speaker, then in the app sync the two units together, select the Left Channel for one unit select the right channel for the other. Winner winner chicken dinner. Check out the 8:30 and 8:50 amplifier boards where I show linking to systems together there's no Echo no lag once the unit synchronized. I actually synchronized this receiver with another receiver when in sync so I left channel for one right channel for the other there's no reason you could not use two of these modules to accomplish the same results or for that matter two of the mono boards that I reviewed before and one set for left and one set for right. Very versatile since I was only given one module to play with I had to use the hard wired option for second speaker but if you're buying a system just buy two and mount both of them in the back of the speakers and Bob's your uncle.

  • @12voltvids

    @12voltvids

    3 жыл бұрын

    This module is designed for those that want to put it into a speaker without having separate units, I have demonstrated other standalone systems and the mono board which I demonstrated a while back, the one I'm using for my patio speaker which can operate in either stereo or mono mode would be best suited for that as it doubles the power. Two of those boards linked in the app and one designated for Left Channel and the other designated for right Channel is all that is required. I'll do another quick video to demonstrate setting this up using this plate amp and one of my other standalone modules connected to speakers and I'll set one up for the Left Channel and I'll set the other one up for the right channel so we'll have the Left Channel on one side of the workshop and the right channel on the other.

    @@12voltvids Thanks for responding Dave. I found it " Sony TCKE500S" and watched the rest. Great fix. You're right about damaged goods from eBay, I purchased an Onkyo MD-105FX last year which had some broken tracks around the rotary encoder probably caused by being dropped on the knob. This year I bought a Pioneer D5 DAT which was dropped during transit (from Japan, very poorly packed) luckily only suffered a gear cog popped off the loading mech and a bent front cover which I was able to fix. Both items working well now. Your videos are really instructive and have given me confidence to tackle any fault now. I was always used to having repair manuals and all spare parts but you've shown that there are other ways to get the job done. My next project is a Tascam DA60 four head DAT with a mech error.

    If these were speakers that you care about you would certainly want to remove the speaker drivers before drilling to keep the wood bits out of the moving parts and vacuum out the inside. I still have a set of dumpster bin speakers that I rescued when a tenant moved out of an apartment. Those have been my garage speakers for years powered by my Panasonic RX-5250 boom box. Now that combination is used for outdoor theater with an SVGA DLP projector and my laptop. I was thinking about using some kind of wireless bluetooth speakers, but a roll of 18 ga speaker wire at Home Depot was cheaper. For almost $200 this option does not seem to be cost effective for a budget speaker extension.
