Kress is a different beast to the residential robots, but I will be doing some kind of comparison between the Kress and Segway and Luba.

No. They have an inbuilt LTE connection. They come with 1 yr free data for the 800 and 1500m2 models and 3 years free data for the 3000m2 model. After this you can choose to renew the data plan on a yearly basis. This low cost, but I am currently unawre of the actual cost. I will be less than $100AUD per year.
