..A bird needs natural daylight hours. My friend turned the light on in his loft 24/7. The pigeons got stressed ,quit laying , and went into a molt. His loft did not get back to normal for almost a year. That was after he turned the lights off.

Yea that’s a rookie mistake. Lights shouldn’t be on 24/7 lights are for feeding or checking on your birds late night purposes

I love your channel and your content, but on this topic, I believe it is unnecessary. It would cause them stress. In the wild, pigeons do not seek out lights to feed their chicks at night; they require the day-night cycle. Could you sleep at night with a beam of light sitting on your face all night?

During daylight saving season the birds don’t do aswell breeding due to cold weather few extra hrs of light helps them breed and keep feeding baby’s to stay warm at night. This will also help those that do night time feeding due to work schedule etc The light don’t stay on all night they are on 1-2hr timer this is something that has worked for me is why I’m sharing with the world. Thanks for watching.

Be very careful when using lights anything that changes natural day length can trigger changes such as moult and breeding condition!
