Just got my Wired Freedom 2024.2. My initial thoughts are: big.adjustment coming from 20” fat bikes and motorcycles - not news as all the reviewers have mentioned the size of the bike. Throttle is twitchy and lags, so if you’re in level 5 you’ve got to be ready for when that throttle kicks in. For that reason I kept shifting down to peddle assist 3 and only used 5 for hills or high speed roads. I set the start power to 3 which is the softest start and the throttle setting to match the pedal assist level. Riding full out in 100 degree heat and it did briefly shut down for about a minute after a steep hill. Motor temp hit about 298 degrees per display. Suspension feels nice, lots of travel - so much so that the rear rack hit my tailbone a couple of times. I’m 6’5” with long legs and sometimes sit at the very back of the seat. I’ll have to adjust seat height and suspension settings to see if this will be an issue for me. Overall though, lots of power, climbs hills like it’s nothing, and fun as heck.

So glad you mentioned that the Furious bike can be optioned with a 1000w rear motor only. Cuz the more I've heard you and others talk about all-wheel drive e-bikes being very treacherous around turns, especially with loose gravel, the more I want an enike with a 1500w rear hub only.

The difference between 20x4 and 26x4 is truly massive and comes down to rider size, personal preference and riding style. If you stay on well paved roads, the 20x4 is great, but the 26x4 is much more capable offroad, feels more stable at speed, and goes over obstacles that would swallow a 20x4 bike. The 20x4 is much more nimble, particularly at slower speeds. If you are coming from a smaller tire bike, you will be shocked at how comfortable and capable the 26x4 is, they go anywhere. Off course you have to be big enough to ride the big boy tires.

@@jfly2249 I suspect that to be the case, but I'd like to see the comparison in action. I already have the Aventure 2, with a dealer nearby, but I have no Wired example anywhere near me to test ride. I want a second bike, so I never have to wait for a battery recharge. (and the Aventure seat is really hard! lol)

Does the EMX have motor temp? With them performing so similar off the line, i wonder if the differential could be which overheats slower.

assuming equal total power consumption and output (since acceleration seems to be similar in spite of difference in wheel diameters), I would think two motors would run cooler both due to lower draw and more surface area to dissipate heat.

Would you be able to provide any incite on what is occurring at furious bike. Assumed they are inundated with building pre-orders. Which I am one of course. Their new furious website has a ridiculous amount of conflicting information, misspellings I began to wonder. Then their site mentioned the retail would be closed but. Phone and email were operating. Then now it mentions dealing with family matters. Could only leave a voicemail when I wanted to speak to a live person to alleviate concerns and nail down some specifics. Sent an email to support with my order number information in hopes of maybe getting the awd ultimate emx 60v dual operating manual. That was days ago. Now I have received my email bounced back as their server refused it. Still believe everything is fine but, do you have any info? Could you forward or post the manual. Going out of my mind and being able to plan some control adjustments upon arrival. Besides just obsessing experience is better since the website for sure isn't optimized and doesn't flow well

Anybody get their Wired 2024+ bikes yet? How about has anybody that is going to pick one up at Chicago Warehouse heard anything? Ive got work off this week and just hoping I can align pickup with off time? Thx for any info anyone can offer! I dont want to bother the Wired crew for this if possible but I have been forgotten by other companies not related at all to Wired (to be clear) and I have small worry if I dont bother occasionally, theyre busy enough to where its possible to get lost in the shuffle, but to be fair, I dont see it being likely with Wired! Thx for vid with Citizen Paps

Lots of power on the flats but with with that front Chainring you have a high top speed, (I'm guessing 56T) but can either these eBikes can climb. Interesting to see what the top speed would be with a 40t climbing chainring.
