@@mpforeverunlimited There's two songs by Kraftwerk with the name Tour De France. The first was indeed released in the 80's and was featured in the movie Breakin'. The second one was released in 2003 and has 5 parts in total. The song playing here is the 2003 one.

I love how it feels like a real avant garde commercial.

I actually heard them play this live at a festival in London last month! I completely nerded out in front of my friends lol

2048 is getting remastered for the PS4. 4k 60fps and HDR This game deserves this.

If you needed a console that is slightly beefed up because some games just can't run on the standard one, it means you done fucked This gen's consoles and its ecosystem is the worst yet, and the ridiculously anti-consumer practices Sony and Microsoft pulled off only makes it worse. Move to PC if you want to play newer games. And WipEout is just going to stay a PlayStation exclusive 😞 In the other hand, BallisticNG is literally classic WipEout on PC, free on Steam. Check it if you got the time.

I did custom soundtrack for wipeout pure by hacking my psp years ago and the Etape 2 song was a song I picked to replace a song on that game. I had no idea they actually used a similar song on a newer wipeout game. Crazy.

The fact that Kraftwerk is still making music today for over 40 years astounds me.

What nostalgia, if I can find my charger for my ps vita ill play it once again and never stop. I've had to run through the game about 3 times because my little brother would fail the password and reset the entire sd-card, which I hate. But at least I still have most of the video footage from that, now all I have to do is access it

The music always made these games 10x better

That's one thing I don't like about Omega Collection, it's fixed to a revised HD theme. I wish there was the option for 2048 style and Fury style menus.

Kraftwerk really made a fresh sounding song with this and it fits this game so well

Grew up listening to this and I've been inspired ever since to try and be as original. Totally awesome music that needs to be continuously listened to !!!!

Always been a big wipeout fan since I first played HD/Fury. I don't have a ps vita, but I'm sure this iteration of the series is just as amazing. this compilation of logos and ships with the music is great, adds to the inspiration that the art style has had on my own artwork similar to the way the art style in mass effect does. hopefully they'll make a really immersive ps4 release at some point.

+LycanDragon Yeah I figured as much....its unfortunate considering the series was there from the PS1 days and was pretty fun and original. I really get into the art styles of games and Wipeout has always stuck with me in that respect since I'm a sci-fi fan. Hopefully those fan games follow similarly.

We as a species failed when this kind of music/aesthetic/technology didn't overtake mainstream media. We'd rather pay billions to watch sycophants start drama at an international ball for the 1%

This game is hard. I suck at difficult games (Monster Hunter - World, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, etc...) But I keep coming back for the challenge. And now I have finally defeat AGRC 2050 final tournament, ELITE PASS in my trusty QIЯЕЖ Speed! I've never had better gaming experience.

@@STRIDER_503 Enjoy the new WipEout memories, man! I still remember when I got every gold medal on all the Zone tracks for Pure, after taking me a lot of patience & concentration. Nowadays, I find myself revisiting those tracks yet again in the Omega Collection with much more experience, and my nostalgic brain couldn't be any happier.

Wipeout soundtracks across all of the games compiles the best of the electronic music of 90s and 2000s. That would be an good start. Deus Ex human revolution and system shock and mirrors edge are other good games to explore this kind of music.

Studio Liverpool (known as Psygnosis in the 90s) had the idea of a space fighting game and the ship designs looked similar to the WipE'out ships, and they got used in WipEout in the end (I think)
