Because of this show and how much I love my favorite character FLORA, 7 year old me created a huge garden in my backyard (actually I still take care of it) in honor of her and when I was 9 my parents gave me two puppies and I named them Flora and Stella. Fun fact: my dog Stella is blonde and really energetic while, my other dog flora has light brown hair and she is really peaceful and calm they’re exactly like the real flora and Stella from winx club.

Team Flora! She was just so wholesome, when me and my friends “played Winx club” when we were like 7, no one ever fought over being Flora, so I just got to live my best life, while my friends were fighting to the death about who would be Bloom 😂💕

For everyone talking about the body proportions, I agree. They look totally unreal, but it's mostly because the creator behind was a fashion designer and early 2000s was the skinny girl era. So the sketches and animations were hella slim.

I'm Italian. The storyline of Winx is much deep than I actually remember when I was a kid. I know, the animation isn't so good as I was younger but I remember the great plot it has. If someone want to re-watch the series I recommend to watch it by the Italian with the English dub and the original songs.

I think season 2 is definitely better, worth watching it! I love the winx club and I am happy that it has now more similarities with the original. Flora is now part of the show and Beatrix mentions her sisters. But I agree that there are some things that are not so great like the dark version of alfea. Just because I grew up doesn’t mean I don’t want pretty places and outfits. There is also room for improvement regarding to the story. I dont understand why they have to include scenes of partying or making out.

Why chance the fact that Musa's a Music Fairy and now a... what does Shane Dawson call himself? AN Empath? I'm kinda mad about that since music was one of the few things in Musa's life that won't leave her- it's such an important role in her life and to her character! Then Flora, who, I must appreciate a plus-sized woman and is played by a very beautiful actor but I don't understand WHY we can't have a POC who is also plus-sized AND show some skin! Why the heck is Tera the only fairy that covers up? What kind of message are they providing to the people when they say 'oh, it needs more diversity' WHEN THEY'RE COVERING IT UP! ARGHHHH sorry for my frustrations- I just have so many issues with this show and it really is getting to me. I just hope they'll be able to pick it up after the finale and continue with the same tension and excitement in the finale.

i cant believe you didnt mention the movie "the secret of the lost kingdom" - its INCREDIBLE and unites everything that was good about the original winx show in a really cool and surprisingly complex story!! its the highlight of the entire franchise in my opinion

IIRC, this was shortly after the second season aired, so Aisha wasn't part of the show. Yet, when my mother and I finally reached the counter of the shop, the Aisha doll had already run out. EDIT: It was the "Winx Power Show". I just checked on Wikipedia. Looks like they eventually introduced Aisha. :D

I'm Italian and I didn't know you guys also watches the Winx! It's a BIIG deal over here in Italy

I found out that the reason why the girls look the way they do, is because they had fashion designers work on Winx Club for the designs and clothing. The girls are supposed to look like models, thinner waists and exaggerated hips and longer limbs, “WINX” is a reference to “Wings”, as the X is a pair of butterfly or fairy wings. They always say “magic Winx!” Before transformation, because they really are saying “magic wings” but I guess we can assume its also a clan thing, where they draw their power from their unity and friendship as they always get new transformations as a team.

Techna and her boyfriend's chemistry was the cutest in the series. And what I didn't realize back then is muza's relationship was super toxic. Damn I was so naive.🤣

giadadee It was super popular in Bulgaria. I had a Winx Club pen, umbrella, backpack, and even underwear 🤣.

30 year old man here. Remembered watching Winx Club during my childhood due to just it being there among the timeslot of shows I watched, digimon/pokemon. Plus my younger sister was so into that show, I basically just watched it with her. Many years passed since then, now I'm probably more invested in Winx club than her which is kinda ironic. The new netflix adaptation got me into remembering this show and wanting to just rewatch it properly. As girly as this may be or how ever old we get, I think childhood is the fondest memories of a person and there's nothing wrong revisiting that. I believe many adults would relive their childhood if given the chance.

As a young boy this show was without any doubt a highlight, although I originally was stuck to watching it with my older sister (1 TV for the kids the other 1 for adults) I quickly fell in love with the show, my sister is now heavily trying to get her 5 month old to watch the show, ah I still remember my buddy laughing at me for watching a "girl show", his dad got angry, "a real man doesn't care, he watches whatever, a real man doesn't care what others do or watch."

When I (20M italian) came out as gay at 14 I was actually surprised my mom kinda knew about it all along. But then it came to me that when I was a little boy: 1) I had barely any male friends in elementary school and mostly stuck with the girls 2) I was SUPER into fashion design and would regularly show my creations to my girl classmates (with overwhelmingly positive feedback OBVIOUSLY) 3) most importantly, I watched this show MORE THAN RELIGIOUSLY and even made COMICS about it. So yeah, thinking about it my mom had the right intuition😂

II had a huge crush on Helia but I bawled my eyes out when Nabu died Aisha deserved so much better than what they gave her

I never realized before just how many western children's shows had an anime influence.

On the production quality thing: before Winx club came around, I was obsessed with an Australian animated show called "ocean girl" (kind of a Sci-fi fairytale). I always thought the show was beautiful and had stunning visuals with their use of both 2d and 3d animation ... Until I re-watch it and was shocked at how flat and awkward the 2d characters looked in front of the blurry 3d backgrounds

As a kid, I didn't have many dolls, and I always wanted the winx club set....so I decided to draw them and color them in and then make cutouts. I had a folder of these cutouts, that I named my "doll folder" and i'd play with them....i was a lonely child lol
