Debbie, I first heard this beautiful song in 1968, as a Freshman at the University of Minnesota, Our Dorm had a Mens Glee club that met every Wed. evening. This was a favorite song of Our Piano player, so We sang it often, I learned to love the tune. My Wife of 42 years sang it often but without the sheet music, just from memory. I recently found the music in a Hal Leonard Gospel Book and can now play it on My Lowrey Fanfare organ. My Wife has been singing in Gods Choir for the past 4 years and I am looking forward to singing with Her again someday. God Bless. Kevin

He is a powerful singer, l have seen many of his performances. I sang this song 🎵 at a Concert in the 80's and some people still remember me from that performance.

Actually, many have sung that song and have done a great job of it, but I haven't heard anyone surpass the late Tammy Wynette's version. Now SHE gives me the chills when she sings that song. Just saying. :)

He certainly has a wonderful voice… a God-given talent and gift. Glad he uses it for praises to God. However, just a little note on the line “tho it makes Him sad to see the way we live… He’ll always say, I forgive.” Not altogether true! First of all the Bible tells us there is NO forgiveness for blasphemy against the Holy Ghost!… not in this world or the world to come. -Mark 3:28,29. Also, there will come a time (May be sooner than most folks think) when mercy will be over… and there is only judgment left. - Jude vs. 15 Thus, it behooves us to as 2 Corinthians 6:2 says , …”NOW is the day of salvation.” And …” to make your calling and election sure.” He IS a merciful and loving Father… right now. Run to Him quickly if you don’t have a personal, born again relationship with Him!! No one knows when the time WILL be over for mercy. Hebrews 10: 26-31 explains why. God bless. - Rita M.
