Winterset Iowa EF4 Tornado in 360°
On March 5th, 2022 I captured this large violent wedge tornado near the town of Winterset Iowa via a 360 camera on top of my car. Experience what it is like to view this extremely rare phenomena in VR. If you listen closely, you can hear the roar of the tornado. This was by far the strongest tornado I have witnessed to date. You can see large chunks of debris being tossed by the tornado. The tornado also had many horizontal vortices, which is another visual indicator of an extremely strong tornado.
UPDATE: It has been given an EF4 rating with maximum windspeed of 170 mph.

I was at the intersection of st hwy 322 and 225th street looking SW to SE as the tornado traveled by my location. Yes I believe I was recording the tornado while it was impacting the people. In my other Winterset video you can see debris being lofted as it passes by hwy 169, which I believe is where the fatalities occurred.

At what point in the video is it striking Winterset?

Towards the end of the video, if at all. This is right at the beginning of the tornado, so I'm not exactly sure when it was in town.
One last question. Is it the Winterset sirens that can be heard in the background?

Yes. This was taken west of town, winterset was the closest town to my location.
