More like: Gordon: "A touch of red wine" Also Gordon: "Vive la France!!!"
He's totally patient with his family. He curses everyone else out.
12 yr old Tilly: you want me to disappear?? Gordon then and now: T H A N K Y O U D A R L I N G
The wholesome level in this is insane. I especially loved how honest his nan was about his cooking when he added all that red wine which he was going to reduce anyway. It's the only time I've seen Gordon respond with genuine humility rather than "you donut"

I just love Chef with his mom. They're so adorable together.
Tilly really understands the chemistry behind the recipes. She does not hesitate to ask questions. What a bright young mind.

It's great to see you cooking with your family chef. Merry Christmas
i'm canadian, and i love shepherd's pie..when I roast minced meat. I add a spoonful of beef bass to this table. these also very good to change the recipe, to make it Mexican with minced meat, or even with chicken instead of chewing potatoes .. we do it in thick slices in addition to cream or other,
The shepherd pie looks lovely.i love the way you get your children involved in the cooking ... what a lovely family you have
Always say that Grandma's cooking is the best. Even my 3 year old kids learned that.
That looks delicious,Gordon. Greetings from Scotland 😊 Have a wonderful day everyone 🌻
"A touch of Red Wine." Pours half the bottle lol
Mom's reaction at 3:10 is golden, Gordon's blushing shows that it's real. It's absolutely lovely that they left that in. Now, being from the Continent I've never had shepherd's pie. Guess I'll give it a try before the turn of the year.
His mum is the only one that can make that face after tasting his food 🤣

I love Shepard's Pie! Love your show, Love your family, love your recipes! But sometimes we just can afford them:( Cheers for the Holiday Season! Keep up the great work Gordon, I know you're having family fun! You can't beat that!
Gordon’s daughter: tells joke. Gordon: “your jokes are bland, thoughtless, and rather disappointing. I need to go for a walk.”
"Yesterday is history" "Tomorrow is mystery" "Today is gift" "That why it's called present"♥️♥️
I love the honesty in this home lol food looks wonderful as usual Chef!
Did somebody say just eat
I'm the same way as Gordon's mom. When people refer to me as a chef, I tell them, I'm a cook. A chef has a culinary arts degree. I've got over 30 years experience cooking in restaurants but no culinary arts degree under my belt. So yeah... I'm just a cook.

I'm sure there are zillions of vegetarian recipe videos all over YT and the internet already.
So much amazing content, thank you Chef!
I've never seen red wine used for risotto during the cooking process. I've also never seen butter used instead of heavy cream. I'm also not a fan of beets, but that dish looks fantastic, especially since he roasted the beets with salt, sugar, and balsamic. I believe I could get into beets cooked that way. Seems like that method would kill some of that overpowering "earthy" flavor, that beets tend to have. Man, this is why I love watching Ramsay's vids. I learn something new and always seem to get inspired by them, every time I watch, and I've cooked in kitchens for 20 years. It's obvious that Tilly is gonna continue Gordon's legacy. Can't wait to see her grow into her own. She's gonna do great things, I'm sure! 😊

When do you put heavy cream in risotto ?
Gordon is the type of dad that would hold a f**king hot and heavy pan without complaining while his daughter takes her time scraping it. Cool guy

Just tried this and it's the best cottage pie I've ever had easy. Thanks
3:02 his face haha
this holiday season at my place we like the turkey, but we also make a traditional cipate these so good goldon you must wipe this,,,,translate the page into english for you and try it out .. well i'll give you the real basis, of this recipe --- bacon in the bottom of a thick cauldron to go in the oven. you add bacon slices everywhere, then you put your pie dough with the chewing yeast for cake, in your pie mix, when the dough is ready, add a large dough to the bottom of your cauldron and add the small cubes of meat and the potatoes ,, for the spices add cinnamon powder from a tablespoon, .- a teaspoon of clove and onion powder, finely chopped ,, add mini pie dough balls all over, mix, then put a big dough on top and make a hole in the center and add the chicken and beef broth to mix in the hole and the liquid should just pass through the top dough, , cover it with aluminum foil or covered, over low heat 350 for 6 hours and every 30 minutes to 1 hour, check if you have already left the broth in the dough, always and above the top paate so that it does not dry, and at the end of when baking you remove the aluminum foil and brown the crust and voila, www.laterre.ca/recettes/cipate-canadien www.mafourchette.com/recettes/le-cipate-la-vraie-de-vraie-methode-traditionnelle-de-le-faire
Looks divine! So well explained as well, could almost smell it

If I watched all of Ramsey's home cooked videos and took a shot everytime he said beautiful. I would be dead
His moms reaction to the winey mixture embodied my exact feelings of how I thought it would taste 😂😂 I dont know how cooking with wine turns out fine at the end despite the disgusting taste at the beginning, does the alcohol flavour just disappear when it evaporates ?

Since I live in the middle of the U.S and lamb is hard to find and/or expensive (at least for me) I settle with a good old fashioned Cottage Pie using ground beef. I also throw in some peas and corn along with onion and green beans. It's the midwestern "Shepards Pie" lol.
This is better than watching a movie. Thank you Mr. Ramsay!
The table looks so inviting. I hope they put a place for me. It’s so delicious
