Wonderful instructions

I would recommend another way of making the earflaps. Make the first row of even no. of half double crochets and from the next row start using single crochet. In the second row decrease in the first and last stitch of the row and the third row just do a normal single crochet round with no decreases.Repeat rows 2 and 3 until there is one stitch left and bind off. That way the earflap will not be so long and will also be a bit denser imo. Also imo my earflap method will be more proportional to the benie. You can also add a braid at the end of the earflap so that you can tie it under ur chin or just leave as decor. Just know there is nothing wrong with her way of making the earflaps. It is also a great way to make one. This is just the way i prefer to make it.😊

For people watching, here's a tip for creating tassels. I like to wrap my yarn around a book (or something that give you the length you want) for as many tassels as I need. It's a *super* fast way to get same length cuts of yarn!!! ❤️

How do you stop the chenille yarn from shedding? Whenever, I try to weave the ends it always sheds :(

i wish i knew 😭 it’s like it’s fine until i cut off the yarn then all it does is shed every time i move it. i just make sure to bring a lint roller with me lol

i use a lighter and just lightly burn the ends and that stops the shedding :) they can sometimes feel a bit pokey if u burn them too much tho; another option would be to leave extra length on the ends, then you can pull the lil fibers off the last inch or two and make a knot with the string that runs through them (there are some tutorials on yt for dealing with ends of chenille that can kinda show what i mean)

27:45 i'm a bit confused by the "skip this stitch part". I'm a beginner and i can't tell how much dc i should have by the end if i skip that 😭. If i start with ch60, should i have 58 or 59 dc made by the end?? because if i skip that, my round becomes 59 then 58 and so on can somebody help? i hope i make sense, english is not the first language i learned the crochet terms in

when you start with ch60, you should have 59 dc at the end :) the stitch that i say to skip , add a stitch marker to that so you know to skip it each time and won’t affect the way you’re beanie comes out
