I had a yellow lab for 14 years. Tore me up when I lost him. He was like Cali, went everywhere with me and no matter what I was doing he was there. I would talk to him like a human and I think he understood everything I said. It has been 10 years and I still miss that dog. Best friend I ever had.

I don't mind watching you doing your chores around the cabin. You don't have to shut your video down just because you aren't in front of the camera all of the time. Just looking at the beautiful fall colors is enough for me.

Wow! I'm an older geezer now, but 60 years ago, I lived in a cabin in the woods of Maine. No anything for comfort, miles from anywhere. A bath meant chopping a hole in the ice of the lake. Trapped, fished & hunted for food. It was pretty tough at times, but I never felt better in my life. Winter mornings sometimes greeted me with -35 below. Inside. I don't regret it all. I think it strengthened me for the real world I eventually faced. So this vid brings back fond memories. Thanks.

Great, dramatic pictures with a lovely choice of music at the intro. Fall is there, winter is coming. I truly envy you for the beautiful, lovely location of the cabin. Visiting Canada is one of the leading numbers on my bucket list. Keep it going, you are living lots of peoples dreams and you allow us to join in.

These videos you do can be the legacy you leave so that your grand children and great grandchildren alike will be able to see you in prime action. Much more telling and personal than journal entries from old books on a shelf and more easily accessed. I am glad to have found your channel. Its amazing how the colours have changed since last week.

2:35 Using a stick to hold the wood while chopping. I use my finger...or at least I used to, but I accidentally chopped it off. Now I use a stick...I go through lots of sticks.

I grew up watching Grizzly Adams and your videos are so cool. I wish I had the resources to live off grid. I get lost in your videos. So peaceful. This is living!!

My Chocolate Lab Loves watching you and your Golden as much as myself. She has he eyes glued to the screen almost the whole time. This is such a beautifully made video, I am watching it again. The fall colors, all the chores that go with living out in the woods, all bring back fond memories. Cali is like "The Lodie Hoser". I had Golden Lab who passed away 15yrs ago and I miss her. Her name was Heidi but eventually it morphed into "The Lodie Hoser".

....I remember my grandparents old cabin.......no bushes, piles of rocks, piles of wood, trash, or debris were to be close to the structure........No hiding places for snakes and no attractions for other animals and pest...........
