A fully etched welded aluminum boat!!! Few, way to few, builders remove the mill scale with acid- don't etch their boats prior to finish but these guys did!! Congratulations on a nicely finished boat.

that looks like an awesome platform to fish from. those west coast boats with the forward raked windscreens sure are distinctive. really don't see anything like it on the pilothouse boats over here on the east coast. i love that there's so much variety among the designers in the different parts of the country.

I did buy a CK worldwide MT200 for doing aluminum TIG. I have already done some small aluminum repairs and parts for a few of my buddies boats. Been applying at local welding shops but they seem to want a full redseal and not an foundation apprentice. So just trying to make things happen on my own.

Thanks! I’ve talked to a couple people recently about building a Yellow Point. That bay is 20x42, and I think it’s a 16’ ceiling. I also have a 20x25 bay where we had the materials

They are from AJR Marine Windows in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. Diamond Sea Glaze would be another outfit to try.

Most of them I do, this one is a Bruce cope design. I have been working on learning rhino as well. My previous designs started with drawings, then scale models, and I lofted from the models.

The plate is 5052 and 5086, and the extrusions are 6061

It seems to be normal to go to the next process after doing R.T and U.T after welding. However, there is no such process in this video. It seems that problems will arise later.

What problems specifically. Define "R. T" and "U. T".

I would take that across an ocean interstate. Load it up with fuel and foods and buonvoyage.

"глупость"? Forward leaning windshield reduces glare, which is why it seen so often on commercial vessels (also less likely to break for a wave coming over the bow). It also allows you to stand closer to the helm/dash with room in front of your face and added room for overhead electronics. Forward leaning windows absorb less heat, so the salt doesn't cake up as bad, allows the rain x to do its job.

Waste of transom space, bad design.
