Post10, this was another great camping video. I like them because they're all different. You use different tents/shelters, eat different foods, camp in various places from inside an igloo to an abandoned truck to an abandoned motel to camping on a frozen lake and camping on your own land. The variety keeps it interesting for sure. I'm very sorry that you were sold crummy wood that damaged your stove with creosote. I hope that creosote cleaning log works and cleans out your stove! I was worried for a bit that you only brought 1 gallon of water, but you had a 2nd one. I was shocked at all the trees that were down. You definitely would've been stranded had your camping plans gone ahead the few days before. Thank you for taking us along! Be well and stay safe! 😊🙏🏻🌻❤️

You need to use high temperature paint like they use on pizza ovens for your wood stove. Light sand the stove with around 120 grit sandpaper first. The paint for pizza ovens is good for 1200° Fahrenheit... when I used that style of tent I added an elbow at the hole in the tent for the chimney adjusted to 45°. With the angle you did not have to worry about melting the flap over the chimney hole.
@Porkie71 Жыл бұрын
Softwoods like fir, pine and cedar make more smoke, and therefore more creosote. The best kind of wood to burn is one of the hard woods, such as oak, hard maple and birch because they release more heat and produce less creosote deposits

Your comments about the steam being produced by that plant reminded me of this old, old story that happened over 30 years ago here in Tennessee. On the morning of December 11, 1990, people driving to work on Interstate 75 near Calhoun, Tennessee ran into "fog" that was so thick that anyone caught in it was literally driving blind. Drivers couldn’t see what they were about to hit, let alone be able to react to it while going 70 mph. Allegedly, the Bowater Paper Plant, one of the largest producers of newsprint in the country, emitted massive amounts of steam and pollutants from its smokestacks. In addition, the facility’s wastewater cooling ponds were located adjacent to I-75. Vapors from both of these sources contained particulates that were ideal for the formation of very thick fog. To make matters worse, the winds on that day would have blown evaporation from the Bowater plant directly toward the crash site. The 99-car chain-reaction collision that followed was inevitable. 42 people were injured, and 12 people lost their lives, making this one of the deadliest car accidents on record.

if you ever see mushrooms growing on the side of those silver birch trees they are great for a lot of things. I’ve never gone camping in my life. And I may be too old to now… So I love ❤️ watching your camping videos!!! I really like how you clearly explain stuff so we can learn. Plus, Your voice is calm & soothing. I pretend I’m there!! ❤

Quality content dude... much appreciated because I love these kinds of videos. The best part is that your videos are not the same over and over again like so many others.... not a knock to those people, it just gets old for me. A great channel, I enjoy your camping type videos the most.
Love these camping videos! You are such a hard worker and I love your sense of wonder!
Once again I have caught a cold and not feeling well. Your videos are the only thing I want to watch when I'm not feeling great. Thank you for the nature content from a city boy
Thank you so much for always converting degrees F to degrees C. I would be lost without it. I can’t believe that you do these camps in the cold, in the UK if we have it below 0C we all worry about the roads and whether heating systems will fail. We’re a bit pathetic really!
Bro its like effing Christmas everytime you upload. I watch all 2 hours of these multiple times lmao. It's the perfect thing to have playing in the background while I'm working.
Looks brilliant fun. I much prefer winter camping. In Scotland though we don’t get such low temperatures. Homage to you sir. NO SIGNAL!! That sounds like utter bliss to me. I’ve gone to some lengths to find places with no signal. The peace and quiet is a joy to the heart. Luv luv luv the wee stoves. Appreciate the Celsius conversion. I too season my own wood and if I’m forced to, I only buy wood if it says kiln dried. We all live and learn. What a cracking video. Many thanks.
Who would think I’d be watching camping videos and culvert unclogging videos. I think I’ve watched every video from your past to now. Love all the videos. Culverts, camping, exploration, ect and all very educational.
its a great day when post10 uploads! absolutely love these camping/longer videos. thank you for taking your time to do theses for us!
Love the camping videos, I guess you will have more ideas for next winter since this one is over but you should also do camping videos in the summer too!

So beautiful to see this scenery and the fun of the camping trip. You know you really are a gem Post10 - sharing these experience with us. Love the peace of the bush.
I love how all your videos showcase the beauty of nature! And thanks to our National Park system, we all work super hard to preserve as much of it as humanly possible! I could you have become one with nature (though I'm not an expert)!
I really enjoy your adventures. Please keep it up!
I think this is one of my favorite s of your camping adventures. It’s 2:00am time to sleep. Thanks post I get more enjoyment watching these videos than anything on network TV could offer me.
I like how you get excited over things like the smoke coming from the power plant, I've always thought that kind of stuff looks cool too.
This was interesting to me, however the big ass log trucks were scary on that ice, I was holding my breath when the hugely overloaded trucks zoomed by you. 👍🏼
This was super enjoyable to watch. Please do more of this!
These long camping with the wood stove in unique places are quickly becoming my favorites. Especially the truck camp ones. I love them.
Thanks for these long camping videos. Very entertaining. Be safe out there.
👍🏼👍🏼These long camping videos are really entertaining. I really do feel like I’m part of the action there. I’d watch your long videos over most other channels.
Aloha 🌺💐 Really appreciate all you do! I only have seen snow once on the BIg Island of Hawaii. Thank you so much! Aloha 🥰🌺
That was way too cool seeing all that steam coming out of those trucks 🛻 when accelerating! I’ve never been anywhere where the temperature was -9F! Now that’s 🥶
Love the overnight camping videos. All of them are awesome on all your channels I been watching them all lately. Such a chill vibe and very knowledgeable your awesome dude

Blimey a sauna in the woods in winter and your having fun indeed , top class videos again of doing strange things and having fun.
I love your camping video. It's fun to watch you cook too. Thank you David.☮️💖🎶
These videos are soooo relaxing, i feel like im on a trip! The tent looks cool from outside, cozy like a mini cabin. Not sure if I could do 10º/no jacket for more than 5 min 😄
Love outweighs every other need. Thank you,
Just dont be discouraged im enjoying this video a lot.thank you and keep them coming .
What gorgeous part of the country you live in, New England is an amazing place!
I'm loving these camping videos Post! I can't wait to see what other creative ways you do camping videos this year!
Whoo hoo! Another camping video. So much fun. I hate the cold. Great steamshow. That was cool. Love the camping spot, all on your own, nobody to bug you. Perfect. That's unfortunate, a stinky smell. Eww! That's so neat, see that woodpecker. Never seen one before. Think you come back and camp here again? Maybe summer? A great adventure Postie, many thanks for sharing with us.
Softwoods like fir, pine and cedar make more smoke, and therefore more creosote. The best kind of wood to burn is one of the hard woods, such as oak, hard maple and birch because they release more heat and produce less creosote deposits
Love these camping videos please make alot more I always wait for them I'll be honest I don't watch any of your other videos with the unclogging a dam or whatnot but every single one of your camping videos I watch every day! At least 2 times a day or I fall asleep watching them because I know what happened but I still watch them can't wait for alot more and can't wait for what else you will cook!!
Oh yes! I'm watching again while we bake in 100 degree temperatures day after day. Looking forward to October 🍻

Thank you for making these videos, I really appreciate all the work you put into making them😁
You and the smoke/steam! 🥰
I enjoy all of your videos. They’re so informative. I especially enjoy learning the simple solutions to street/road floods that plague many communities and that anyone of us can do to help. Anyway, I just want to offer one small correction on this video. I believe it is technically called Evaporation Fog that forms over water that’s warmer than the air above it. Keep up the great work!! Love ya!!
I really enjoy the addition of these camping videos. I was already a fan, but I am watching more of your videos now.
Lol everytime you say maine or nh I'm always watching to see if I recognize the area since that's where I'm from. You do an amazing job.
You made me miss camping in the snow. The stove is most definitely a luxury. I never camped when the temps fell below 15° f. I would with that tent and stove. Enjoy seeing the beautiful scenery also. Thanks again for taking me a long. That green wood was disgusting.
Sometimes I use a pop up ice shack for winter camping. Run a silicone stove jack out one of the windows so you can use the wood burner. Lay a tarp on the floor with a thick rubber mat by the front of the stove to keep hot embers from burning through the tarp
I thoroughly enjoyed your showing us how to adjust the heat of the stove in your tent. I have never camped in anything below the teens in F °. Though I know what it is like to start a campfire after an ice storm, and how cold that can be. Do you tell anyone where you are camping in case of trouble so they know where to find you? Beautiful scenes, and enjoyed your narrative.
Really like the way your channel is evolving. Keep up the good work!

I sat in my local Starbucks sipping Pistachio Latte and watched your video, Perfect! lol
I'm a 66 year old gal from Australia and can not comprehend that type of cold. I love his videos. Started watching the culvert ones, now I hang out for the long camping ones. I have learnt so much about Beavers. Keep up the good work. I'm hooked!
Love the quantity and quality of Posts video! Great channel!
Thank you...I love traveling with you seeing places I will never be able to visit.🙏👍😊💕🚛

There was a massive pileup just north of Nashville in 2011. It was on an elevated highway, on a very foggy morning. It had over 176 cars, but only two people died.

Hi Post, just happened to see this video it was in my stream of videos on you tube. Nice video ! I used to guide in Maine "specialized whitewater guide" I was from Md so i gave up my drivers license for Me residence one. Lived in Birch Point cabin in Greenville Me. Got a P.O. box in town and put every penny in the bank from guiding. Tips allowed me to live and travel every back rd in Me with my fellow guides i lived with. One yr in the early 80's it was highly rewarding and so beautiful ! Keep safe on those logging roads for sure the most dangerous part of existence in the great northern wilds!!!!!
I really enjoyed your video and admire you for your willingness to camp in the winter in such cold temps. I like all your pointers and explanations. You have such good advice. Stay warm ⛺♨️

Same. I've been really down all day. Gonna get cozy here in a few and watch this to get in a better mood.
if you ever see mushrooms growing on the side of those silver birch trees they are great for a lot of things. The birch polypore has been used to make medicine for a long time because of its many properties(even anti biotics), when harvested in autumn it can be dried out and kept for months. It also can be used as band aids and a knife sharpener
