"The first time i saw him, i was taken aback, the guy looked like Mr. Potatohead on a stick." - Mark Boyle Pacers Broadcaster. LOL...he turned out to be Superman and the Knicks had no Cryptonite.

When I was a kid, I NEVER would have thought Reggie Miller and Larry Bird were the two biggest trash talkers. NEVER.

Just when we thought ok we are good mj retired. The knicks road block for years. Then everyone expected they would easily get to the finals. Then reggie stepped into that " knick killer " role. That game 5 with 25 in the 4th was a shooting exhibition & made miller go from all star to superstar. Him going back & forth with spike lee is classic. He put up 4 fingers to spike than did the choke sign as in of course the Knicks choke in the 4th. Then he grabbed his crotch & said something very vile to spike. I find it hilarious that the ny papers blamed spike. Lol. I'll also never forget after another 3 marv alberts saying " reggie is again staring in the direction of yes that man " & they showed spike in his seat looking sorta embarrassed. The series before also had a classic with spike lee. He went to chicago & somehow got a court side seat in chicago stadium for the ecf. Scottie did the most disrespectful dunk on ewing than stepped over him like in a taunt & patrick shoved him like really pissed off. Then spike was up yelling at pippen & scottie walked towards spike first giving a look to starks that was filth & than pointed in spikes direction & said " sit your ass down " the 94 playoffs in the east were more exciting w/o jordan. My guess is when he retired so many teams he put away were like thank god finally this title is up for grabs. Also ewing was very close to being a pacer. They had the first lottery draft that year. If they had not that year the teams with the worst records got in order the top draft picks. The Pacers had the worst record in the league so if they had not just instituted the lottery ewing would have been a pacer. Reggie became a pacer 2 or 3 years after the Ewing draft. That could have been in the 90s a big man little man best duo with magic & Kareem or shaq & kobe. I wish the Knicks gave miller an offer so big he could not turn it down. Imagine reggie after the last 2 playoffs become a knick ? It would have been epic from villain to beloved. I was very dissapointed that in that free agency bonanza the Knicks did a little better than houston & chris childs. Another CBa guy who emerged on a lousy nets team. I remember during the Knicks series reggie saying he got a bum wrap about being a trash talker he said " derek Harper is out there talking more trash than I was but bc I'm known for it I get all the heat " lol reggie u know u trashed talked he not only got starks to hesd butt him which is classic bc the ref was right there & reggie deserved an academy award for his over reaction. Starks should not be looked at as the only hot head. Miller got to jordan too to the point Jordan grabbed him & started shoving reggie's head. Im.glad his sister admitted he is an annoying pest. Starks learned his lesson in 93 so he refused to respond to miller so reggie started trash talking spike lee. Marv albery at first was like " reggie is really starting to trash talk someone in the crowd. Later he realized it was spike. Reggie made a great point back then he said " everyone in this league can play. It's the mental edge that makes u better. "

Miss the golden era ... I can’t imagine what Reggie would have done to curry . Curry would have been lucky to have been a Starks type player in this era. Starks went up against the best in the world in the golden era. Mad props to Starks , that dude was raw back then too
