I’m so pumped as a Hawks fan! TT is back! I hated Stan for giving him away in that Bickell trade! Brissoit will help stabilize the Hawks in net! Bertuzzi is a good player and we got mentors for the young D! Not going to be in the playoffs, but not going to be awful again either!

These guys are clueless when it comes to the Red Wings cap space. They have 4 rfa to sign including Seider and Raymond which will eat up most of their space. After Kane they only had room for a few cheap to moderate contracts. Maybe they should have signed Stamkos and just put Seider on waivers. Do your homework boys.

Stamkos may look good for this year, but he’ll be 41 in his last year of contract and paying him $8M per year at that, for his final downward years.

Thought the Wings did good given they need to set aside money to sign Seider and Raymond to long term deals. They were also able to bring back Kane

Wings are fine. Anybody that has a clue didn’t expect them to land any other big names. Except Kane of course, who I said was coming back after last season.

@@user-sw3ki2kk9s If you would just listen then you’d know. Steve has never told fans that they are going to make the playoffs. Of course he says they hope they make it, but he’s not going to sign bad long term contracts just to get into the playoffs .He’s thinking king about the future cup window. They should have made it last season but they didn’t. We’ll see what happens this season.

Agreed! Not mad at Yzerman at all for everything today. If you compare the Preds vs us, they’re in a lot better place than we are. Vezina trophy contender, Norris winner, and a good depth already. I think they were in a much better place to make those signings than us. I’m happy with signing Gustafsson. Proved that he can be a PP QB when Fox was out but he’s also better defensively than Ghost.

Who are these dummies? Is Tyler Bertuzzi playing the long game to try out for the Oiler’s? Vegas has no cap space to get Marner.

I honestly expected something more than what happened with Detroit today. Maybe there's something else brewing but this sort of felt like a "okay" day. Hopefully the goalie situation will be sorted out this year and a true #1 will emerge. I don't feel the defense improved enough. Hopefully Johansson steps in a makes a huge impact along with Edvinson, and Bergren will step in and be the offensive piece we need on the second line.

Everyone is obviously gonna bitch about us not picking up a top 6 forward, but every one of them wanted term Steve wisely stuck to his guns, it'd be stupid to cripple our chance to pounce when the time is right, we need to know how our prospects are gonna shake out before we know where to spend, all of our bad contracts will be up and we will know whats happening with Lomba, Axel, Nygard, Elmo and Cosss at about the same time assuming that Danielsson and Edvinsson are locks and witch two of the formentioned players break the lineup has us after verry diffrent U/RFAs

also Berggren dosn't need to step up his efficency is thru the roof, he just needs minutes

So if a team doesn't make a splashy move in free agency you deem them as losers. Had to give you a thumbs down as your analysis is short sighted as it doesn't look at the team's big picture.

They may be the short term “winners” but a lot of these contracts won’t age well.

Seattle had a good rebuild going. They're trying their best to ruin it with these contracts

Depth, Edvinson and probably Wallinder will be getting the call up. Neither of those guys are included on the dev camp roster. Those guys will play the same role as Walman at a cheaper price, higher ceiling, and much younger. A second rounder got Steve another asset.

L take, he replaced the players we lost at a great price, resigned Fisher, and got help in the goaltending department. Glad he didn't overpay for Stamkos like the preds did.
