Sifu said “Whatever I run into I use”. I love that and it makes complete Wing Chun sense!

Chris is a bear! Sifu Chan is pulling his strikes but Chris is still tanking 100 shots per demo. So thank you Chris! Thank you Chris, you have a great, gentle spirit, admirable, wonderful pain tolerance and a warrior's dedication to this work.

Sifu always like “thank you for the question, here is the simple answer”, and then is applying utter mastery like we understand it.

Gary lam has the same inundation of knowledge if you see him. Sifu lam often sounds like an old druid and Sifu Chan is the Olympics teir training instructor holding demonstrations! So many times they explain/demo the same concepts and topics and both are very good and knowledgeable teachers.

It is always good to review the basics to improve and learn more about the movements and the center line. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO.👍👍👍

Hi Sifu, your videos are so interesting! There is a lot of useful informations for a practitioner. What you teach is very close to what I've studied for years in Wing Chun, but with some very interesting links to different points of view! You are the kind of person I would like to meet and talk about Wing Chun!

Excellent stuff Sifu Adam. The years of practice it takes to get to the levels you show goes unnoticed and most are missing the empirical knowledge from continual practice. Great stuff. The list drill you do which is punching and then a double hand défense is something I need to understand better. Is there a video on it how’s and why’s and what fors of the drill?

Hmm. Sifu... I'm 48 years old. My speed is not what it used to be, but I'm still fast enough I think. 60 kg 1.70m, here's one problem with this technique. If I see you closing in, hmm he wants to wing chun me or bring me to the floor. I would easily avoid you flanking me. There's another comment here, first one. And he is right. I can plum flower from wing chun footwork, with chum kil, avoid your take down. If you don't do the "blind opponent" in real life... We usually don't want to hurt others. That's a bad way of taking this art

Yeah I’m 40 and got punked around by a 20 year old during the drills. He was taller but weight wise around the same. After the drills, we sparred there was a difference. He had speed but I timed him and I was in better positioning than he was throughout the sparring. God is fair, lose speed but gain experience.

@@xhaozhao that's it that's it. Same with women. If 28 years ago I knew everything I know today 🤔 Honestly, I would have misused this knowledge. Knowing how to get laid when you are 40 is relatively easy. At 20 one is learning how to read women intentions 😈 At 20 it would mean I'd apply that to get as many fukkie fukkie as possible, instead of using it to establish a solid relationship with my Missus

Don't rely on speed. I'm in my 20s and I got handed by a 50 yr old Wing Chun student. I'm obviously faster but he was super relaxed, I've done a lot of chi sau but I could never feel his movements. He felt faster, but its because he's relaxed. This is one way you can beat younger guys.

@@screamtheguy6425 yes and no. Ok you get it right! Your reaction time and speed is usually above an almost a 50 years old 人, correct? The relaxation, yup. Now we old wing chunners🤔😅😅🍻 don't have to think about it anymore. Now. Just you wait until you get near 50.. I mean, I don't feel bad or in pain or that I can't practice martial arts, but.. 🤔 😬 In first person shooters I used to be fast. Shooters like quake 3 arena , fast fast! I was king. Not anymore. My son is in better condition. My eyes are not good anymore either 😡🤬💩 I feel OK, but if I play basket or soccer, hey... 🤔 I get tired a little faster. And I had some sore muscles because of sudden torsion of the waist for example. It's not just the relaxation or the touch reflexes. At least back in the day we sparred lots, as hard as that lousy protective gear allowed us, and now... It's like riding a bike. Or swimming. You don't forget how to drive a car either... So, if right now you and I have a soft wing chun only sparring, you'll be better than me at first, but then I get hot 🤔😬 I don't mean what it usually means 😬😏😏😏😏😘😆😆😆 English is not my first language. I left this boo boo here cause I laffed at it and probably you are HOT too 😆😆😆😆💩💩💩 I mean, with a little practice, ok... We can get the feeling again, cause wing chun as all arts with internal as half or more of the wushu we are training, means relaxation, but since I have more training (and I don't mean I train much these days. I do siu lim Tao and QIGONG, wing chun and siu lim Tao are good for meditating and stuff. Yes, meditation. You only focus on your breathing, the sao 's come automatically
