Get the full course "SELF DEFENSE WITH KEVIN GOAT" here: bit.ly/3fsYseV
"What is sticky hands/Chi Sao?" is a question Kevin Goat often receives. Can you really feel someones energy through sensitivity and can you actually pull it off in a self defense situation. Wing Chun does not play out like in the movies but here Kevin shows how you can apply these trapping principles and and them to your self defense tool kit.

    Yeah I totally agree with the statement to know different MA to understand diff situations and how to solve them. If you know only one MA it's like having and using only a hammer in the tool belt. Everything looks like a nail 📍

    You may also, instead of cup Jarno, use a tan shift- da or Sao. For shorter people that option can be easier. :)

    I like how you mention how important it is to know different styles of martial arts in order to have a better understanding of what to do in different situations… Not knocking those who are dedicated to one style… Respect due… But like you said it gives you more tools to pick from if you do… ✊🏾🔥✊🏾🔥

    Question, why not use that elbow for a strike instead of a setting up a trap?

  • @NaturalStateWingChun

    @NaturalStateWingChun

    It's a matter of safety. If your elbow strike doesn't finish the job, then you lose the control that you already had.

    @@steffeno.7381 your comments are strange to me but that must mean you have yet to get into a physical altercation with someone who actually knows how to inflict pain upon another. I’m yet to run into a keyboard warrior on the street they usually keep it indoors & online lol

    I do understand that it is to maintain balance and to practice attacks and defense. I don't know if it is me but I have done boxing, eskrima, and judo, wrestling and I feel like it's so full of openings I feel like it is too easy for me to strike the face or body specially if you have really quick hands and know a little bit of grappling. For example in eskrima, we tend to grab the opponents hands and strike and it would be too easy for me to hand lock a opponent and strike. It just doesn't really translate for me similar to eskrima knife training, because a actual attacker won't attack like in training.

    All the time I was thinking: well, should be the other guy concerned in turn this to a close range fight, because in a long range fight he wouldn't be able to touch the opponent... I know because I'm much more like the smaller guy. probably smaller than him...

    it’s nice that the opponent will maintain just the right distance for this sticky stupid stuff to work, and never throw a knee, if you are this close the fight will become a wrestling match, looks like these punches are short and weak to me, this guy makes so many videos does he ever actually train?
