Wing Chun Chi Sao EXPLAINED. What Is Sticky Hands?
Get the full course "SELF DEFENSE WITH KEVIN GOAT" here: bit.ly/3fsYseV
"What is sticky hands/Chi Sao?" is a question Kevin Goat often receives. Can you really feel someones energy through sensitivity and can you actually pull it off in a self defense situation. Wing Chun does not play out like in the movies but here Kevin shows how you can apply these trapping principles and and them to your self defense tool kit.

Not impressed. I am far stronger than all these weaklings combined.
Kevin’s the man. I honestly don’t know anything about this stuff but his teaching style is so fluid that it’s piqued my interest and I’m taking the steps to learn. Thank you.
Kevin, your videos are awesome! I love the content brother. Really enjoy how you bring various arts together, yet still show preference to the Wing Chun 👊🏾
Respect...also when your rotating hands in Chi Sao you are pushing your hands towards the other person and them to you as this is an energy drill..🤜🫷..stay safe..train hard
Good video/ explanation.
Yeah I totally agree with the statement to know different MA to understand diff situations and how to solve them. If you know only one MA it's like having and using only a hammer in the tool belt. Everything looks like a nail 📍
Nice one man 👊🏽🙏🏽
Good stuff.
CONGRATULATIONS!
👏nice one thanks
You may also, instead of cup Jarno, use a tan shift- da or Sao. For shorter people that option can be easier. :)
Very good video, would love to see more. I have to check that seminar

@@Selfdefensegoat thank you
Interestingly, I unknowingly taught myself this type of movement for Jiu Jitsu and it happens to work when someone is trying to grab me and I’m trying to fight for a better grip
I like how you mention how important it is to know different styles of martial arts in order to have a better understanding of what to do in different situations… Not knocking those who are dedicated to one style… Respect due… But like you said it gives you more tools to pick from if you do… ✊🏾🔥✊🏾🔥
Question, why not use that elbow for a strike instead of a setting up a trap?
@NaturalStateWingChun

It's a matter of safety. If your elbow strike doesn't finish the job, then you lose the control that you already had.
That’s a good explanation, let me know if you have any Chinese text to translate, btw
"If I punch him in the face, it's gonna' be funny" ... loved that!

I would like to see Kevin Demonstrate these Techniques in an MMA fight with professionals

I actually have and it was a ton of fun. Eventually after a few rounds though they learned my style and adapted. This style is definitely built for the street not the dojo.

@@Selfdefensegoat thanks for the response I am a major supporter of what you bring to the table & and a fan. I am just curious to see how you would fare against that level of training and discipline with your style. That would be super interesting to see.

what is this i want to see it in MMA.. so is every 2nd guy who stresses you on the steeet is an MMA guy? As long as it is enough to defend against keyboard warriors, it s sufficient

@@steffeno.7381 your comments are strange to me but that must mean you have yet to get into a physical altercation with someone who actually knows how to inflict pain upon another. I’m yet to run into a keyboard warrior on the street they usually keep it indoors & online lol
I do understand that it is to maintain balance and to practice attacks and defense. I don't know if it is me but I have done boxing, eskrima, and judo, wrestling and I feel like it's so full of openings I feel like it is too easy for me to strike the face or body specially if you have really quick hands and know a little bit of grappling. For example in eskrima, we tend to grab the opponents hands and strike and it would be too easy for me to hand lock a opponent and strike. It just doesn't really translate for me similar to eskrima knife training, because a actual attacker won't attack like in training.
I have mixed Wang Chung with Aikido to make sure I'll never win a fight in my life.
All the time I was thinking: well, should be the other guy concerned in turn this to a close range fight, because in a long range fight he wouldn't be able to touch the opponent... I know because I'm much more like the smaller guy. probably smaller than him...
punch and kick groin same time next question.
Wing chun MMA for the win
HeLLO From Tijuana and San Diego DO YOUR MEMBERSHIPS OR Have a location around IN SO What California. I see heard you at THE End is Age 44 too old to Learn and fight fOR Money I got Nothing but Time and Anger More like the Rage of 1000 incredible Hulks I know boxing is Age 18 to 35 or so I just feel cheated my mom wouldn't let me learn Martial Arts so she's passed I can NOW
Se ve fácil pero no
Just make sure that the little guy can't do anything. Wing chun is based on a little girl's hips. Not a big guys lips.

The strongest guy gets bogged down by the simplest things.
bro take on someone ur own height wtf, obviously it would work, if u did it to someone smaller thn u
it’s nice that the opponent will maintain just the right distance for this sticky stupid stuff to work, and never throw a knee, if you are this close the fight will become a wrestling match, looks like these punches are short and weak to me, this guy makes so many videos does he ever actually train?
