@@ecinlexu I opened to laptop and found where the WiFi Adapter is located.At times a laptop may fall so the WiFi adapter cable will get disconnected.You have to make press the cables connected to the WiFi Adapter to be sure it is properly connected.

The driver is already installed on the computer and will reinstall your possibly corrupted driver when you restart your PC. I followed the advice and it worked for me.

Why is my driver wifi is at other devices ones rather than the network adapter ones?

As of 8/10/23 this still works for 8.1. Thought I was gonna have to buy new laptop for no reason at all. Thank you so much!

Device Manager wouldn't start the way you suggested, so I used the "search" key combo and voilà. I learned and it worked. Thanks a bunch.

My pc initially ran vista,i also have xp pro,win7 and win 10 on this pc separate HDDs and SSDs where appropriate,i have a belkin N wireless usb wifi adaptor and it does not work with win 8.1 at all it does work on all the other OSs i use?,I have a TP-link AC1300 Archer T4U usb wif adaptor that is recognised but i get a message saying cannot connect to this network,i've input the passkey but it still won't allow wifi access. I assumed because everything works with fine from xp to win 10 that 8.1 would be ok,vista does not work with the AC1300 connector and why i kept the older belkin usb adaptor connected up to win 10 .The AC1300 has wps connection so does our new router which is days old,i'm going to try to down load a newer driver for the belkin as i'm using win7 to type this i'll need to down load and transfer the driver file seeing as win 8.1 won't connect,i'm no-where near the router or i'd have at it with a lan cable to get drivers,failing this i may have to use those earth plug lan connectors. I know the pc is not new and far from it ,but i'm sure it was also sold with win 7 32 bit and i was sold end of line as in vista OS pc than win 7,all the new OSs work fine with no issues ecept win 7 had to update gpu drivers because it was bsod now and then,but has been stable since the new driver. I can't figure why 8.1 will reject adaptors that win 10 uses easily. Any one got any similar problems,fixes.

what if there is only bluetooth device and ther is no intel in the network adapters?

I have a query, my WiFi drivers don't exist like how? My laptop is supposed to be running Windows 10 but I want to try Windows 8.1 Pro, my WiFi drivers can't be found by my manufacturer (HP) and my HP model is a HP-bs0xx... Can you help? My laptop dualboots windows 8.1 and windows 11.

This worked on my wife's creaky 2014 ASUS so it should work for anyone. Recommend just going straight to the DNS flush and restart. You should do this periodically anyway for security reasons. If you can't connect to your wifi just hit the reset button on the router and it should hook back up in about 30 seconds.

My computer is showing that Ethernet not connected and no connection available after command prompt please help this issue my computer isn’t fixed
