Windows 3.11 - Installation [AMD K5 75Mhz, 32MB RAM][Real Hardware Fan and Floppy Disk sound]

Ғылым және технология

Hello!
Not much to say, this is Windows 3.11 installation video. The contact microphone is attached to the FDD Drive so you can hear the read, pretty loudly.
Couple of disks (disk3 and disk4) failed during installation, I didn't remove the failures but I edited out the time I spent creating new disks.
Enjoy!

Haha that's because we are old! I turned 40 a couple of weeks ago and since then I feel like I aged 10 years suddenly

I used IBM dos at work that software was from 1985 one floppy 💾 had 1 cad file for a pluming/irrigation project to manufacture a brass product Like a gas fitting or water tap on a cad/cam Miling machine or automatic lathe , at home I had win 3.11 right up to 95 came out on cd, fast forward to 2024 I'm on win 10 and I'm not downgrading to 11 because Linux is better. I'm 65 so your not old yet son

@@scottorgan2255 thanks! I'm typing this comment from a Win11 PC and it is terrible. I just had to restart because Windows Explorer was using 23GB of memory, I don't understand how. Was it a big business, where you used the milling machine? Was it a common thing to have a computer at work in 80s? I remember, where I grew up even the banks got computers around 93/94. They were all manual paperwork before that.
