@@ac4694 There was a local chess tournament where young and old alike were in attendance and allegedly Eric and Aman were seen spiking the free soft drinks with laxatives giving themselves an edge in long-play over the board chess games. They snickered like little girls everytime someone wouldn't make it back to the board in time. Rumor has it that 1 of the contestants ended up at the hospital due to gastrointestinal complications. Eric promised to visit the player, but ended up distracted on a multi day binge of energy drinks. He was found (without pants) sleeping on the floor of a discount movie theater.

Do you already know everything at these lower levels or is it more pattern recognition? Can you reach 1800 with just tactics?

@@Edjones-yf6xkI'm 2200 and I get some stuff out of these speedruns once he's no longer playing beginners. Typical tactical patterns, what to look for that's "bad" from the opponents, signs of when the positional niceties no longer matter and it's time to mate the dude, etc

@@Edjones-yf6xk I'm learning a lot from these as well, Yes you can reach 1800 with one opening & tactics. I can beat 1800 with almost any opening. Main reason I said I'm waiting for 2000+ is because they don't drop pieces a lot so you reach a point where you have to squeeze the little advantages Such as space, weak squares, bad pieces etc, as well as creating a plan from even positions

Will come back to edit this comment. EDIT: omg. And I thought Eric was bad. This was the food olympics of playing with your food. And that was after just watching the first game.

He does tend to blast them with GM moves once he gets to the end game plus, he doesn't have any patience for people trying to flag him with nonsense king moves. Generally though it's a good run down of the opening and getting into the middle game with it.

It is uncanny and unreal....so far into the series AND NOT ONE CLOSED POSTION....paid actors??? with my games...i get clamped down immediately..i do win but let me keep watching your videos if u ever get even one closed position and if did then kindly disregard this comment with my apologies.
